Observation.

I don't know if this counts as looks, but body position is a huge thing. Stand and walk with your shoulders back, stand straight, head up, speak assertively and look at people in the eyes when taking. I know it seems kind of weird how that can make a difference, but it made a massive difference with me.

Basically, if you aren't confident, then just act confident and then (weirdly enough) you actually do become a REAL confident person.

Step one is to calm down.
Most people who arent confident aren't familar with what they are soing and so they are nervous. You have to get rid of the nerves. Even if some remain, push through it and you are still charming.

Step two is practice. Find your comfort zone and then push past it. After that is comfortable push past it again.

Step three is reinforcement. Feelings are consistent. You'll have good and bad days. You have to remind yourself, encourage yourself, compliment yourself, regularly. For this try talking into a mirror.

This is hard: my self-esteem is low enough that I can't even imagine considering myself someone worthy of anything positive.
