5. A lot of ordinary everyday people get a dopamine rush and feel really good about themselves when they help migrants. The more migrants there are, the more cat ladies can go volunteer at refugee centers and the more retired teachers can go teach language classes.

Seriously, go look up color revolutions. I never guessed I'd be a part of them, but I was. As for banking, look up "usury." Some of this stuff is kind of sub rosa, but most of it is entirely public and waiting for you to learn about.

A lot of revolutions involve the second-highest level of society (opposition leaders, religious leaders, top bureaucrats, generals, et cetera) replacing the highest level of society (the head of government and his inner circle), and then the new highest level of society crack down hard on everyone below them.
