I did up untill this new tax season, I'm a firefighter and buy a bunch of my own stuff for work and I have a side business doing construction, between the two I have a ton of shit to write off, this year it was mostly just firefighting stuff as I've moved away from my construction company and made most of my side money trading stocks, not much to write off this year and the standardized deductions changed so taxes where pretty easy this year

Just use the fucking turbo tax the federal filing is free. I started a business last year but it wasn’t profitable, I paid like $100 for the business tax service and ended getting a $2000+ tax deduction because I saved receipts from all of my business expenses.

Either way, paying taxes is perfectly fine. It costs a lot of public funds to keep roads etc going. I know you're gong to say "well hurr small business can do it better" and I'm like "uhh, I don't think so. It takes a lot of expertise to work on projects like national highway systems". The internet provides a paradox that the elite didn't expect and haven't figured out how to counter. I forgot where I read it but a couple of years ago I came across an in-depth article put out by some think tank that had obvious ties to intelligence and defense. It broke down the Arab spring and the big take away was that the more a dictator tried to suppress the internet,especially social media, the faster the rebellion grew and the higher the likelihood they were removed from power. It makes sense if you think about it. Twitter and Facebook and so on provide a cathartic release for an unhappy populace. But it also allows that unhappiness to grow and put a spotlight on the government. So when they clamp down. It just pisses people off and recruits more people which makes the government afraid of them using it to plan and strategize which causes the government to clamp down harder and it just repeats. Until the government shuts it down completely which forces normal people into the town square where they end up meeting people more radicalized than them who also have access to weapons. That is basically what happened in Syria and Egypt and so on. It's also why they are pushing for deplatforming people but that won't work either, as it just puts the spotlight on them and makes fence sitters question why.
