Hey Jow Forums, so in the past my parents would help me out and send me or let me borrow a couple hundred bucks if I was ever short on bills/rent. Well my parents died in a car accident last week, I was left nothing, and Im confident I can't go on financially without their help.
Kill myself right? I could get a minimum wage job and dedicate my entire waking life to working it, but then where's my life? I'd be spending all my effort on something that makes me miserable just to be rewarded with waking up and doing it again every day. Yes I'm aware that I am a loser and I'm weak and that there are kids with cancer suffering way more than me, I'd gladly give little cancer boy every organ in my body ok? This isn't a pity thing, I don't want to feel better, I want cold realistic logic. I'm fucked right?
Nice dubs. I don't think you're fucked, honestly. First, get that regular job, though. You don't want to be financially unstable.
After that, you can start to plan your next move better. Either get some training or start networking for a better job. Once you get past the minimum wage barrier, you'll be ok.

I've done the math, breaking even is the absolute best I could do. My lease is up in 10 months, it cost me over 2000$ to move last time. Rent always goes up, no one promotes in under a year. Thanks though.

Boomers used to laugh at me "Haha you're so spoiled you'll never make it on your own" I guess they were right.
Chase Peterson
I have no family and have survived so far. It sucks nobody will understand and there are zero safety nets so you have to learn to do everything yourself leaving you with no time to actually improve your life at any real pace.

If rent is your biggest expense, you can always get a roommate. Honestly, it seems like you've resigned yourself to failing, though, so I'm not sure what advice anyone can give you that you wouldn't automatically shoot down.

As a young person in snails you can live on less than $15k right much trouble. Move to Philadelphia or some shit city and rent a room in a house in a shitty neighborhood for $400/mo. Cook all your own food, ride a bike or take public transport. Figure another $500 for food, utilities, etc, and the rest for health insurance.
After a couple years of residence (you might need to prove it) sign up for community college and get a medical tech degree in two years. Now you have a job that will reliably pay over $35k a year for life, some of which have options to make up to $70k or more with experience. Now you have a little bit of money and aren't a complete wastoid. The end. There are many other paths but you seem like you want the easy one and don't care much about being a big success so there it is. Simple life

I'm taking this seriously, if there's a flaw in an idea I'm pointing it out. The roommate idea is good, I hate living with people but the fuck choice do I have now.
Yeah that's what I want to avoid. What's the point of living if every day is just a fight for survival itself? At that point why not just go live in the woods like an animal
Alexander Cox
Ooh or I could be a lawyer and get big moneys every day!!1
Julian Gutierrez
Holy shit that is sad. Don't kys, just get help. Someone will help you.
Gabriel King
No it isn't sad at all. I was a spoiled brat, I had this coming and I knew it. It's my own fault.
Camden Bailey
>The roommate idea is good, I hate living with people but the fuck choice do I have now.
There you go, man. Don't worry, it will get better.
After your room-mate situation is handled, take a hard look at your expenses. Here's a site that might help - a lot of these folks have come up with great ways of living on less cash
I'm glad you're taking this seriously. And as says, a medical tech or pharmacy tech is a great next move.
What city are you in? There are many cities that are downright hostile to lower income folks, so if you are in a city like that, you should definitely factor a new city into your plans.

Sorry to burst your bubble dude but moving anywhere is not an option, it cost me over 2000$ just to move 15 miles last time I moved and the cost of living went up a good bit, not because of location, but because rent always goes up.
And I'm too stupid for school, you're right that is a failproof scheme for a normal healthy God fearing human, but that's not me. I'm physically weak is shit, my body just doesn't build muscle, and you want to know how school will go? Do you? Nigger I'm so fucking stupid I can't remember shit but I can instantly forget anything on command. So please, let's not argue about school and how it'll save my life, other ideas, please.
Luis Gray
For fucks sake I struggled with the GED test. There meth heads that ace that shit, and you think my brain is capable of higher education? No, please do not throw a panda into the bear fighting ring, it is the wrong kind of bear.
Ethan Wilson
I'm just trying to help. Sounds like your best bet is to just rent a room with a bunch of other folks, keep your costs as low as you can, and try to not drown. Still look at the ERE link I gave you, it's tops for saving money.
Ryan Garcia
Budgeting isn't a problem. I can live without AC/heat and food amongst many other things. Thanks though.
Hudson Thompson
You really are dumb if you can't figure out how to save enough money to move. And yet you can write in complete paragraphs?
In Philly I knew guys who could barely read who were more motivated than you. I know literal crack smoking homeless kids who could hold down a job washing dishes. I know guys who got bachelor's degree while working night shift at wal mart. No sleep. No rest for years. You are a worm... A foolish worm
Nicholas Garcia
Don't know what to tell you jack.
Ian Howard
Anyone have any other advice or ideas? Like I just found out I can donate organs before I'm even dead, that's kinda cool, that way I know they don't go to waste.
Ian Cox
What
Ryan Perry
If you're thinking about suicide you may as well give your working organs away first right? It'd be a little selfish not to.
Angel Hill
Grow drugs, sell and smoke drugs, work 16 hrs a week to satisfy government
Thomas Sullivan
That's what I was trying to do. Except growing pot is extremely expensive unless you're growing some reggie
Colton Watson
Actually do your research and save up for good equipment one bit at a time over a few months with minimum wage, read good sources online and don't be retarded. Everyone's first grow or two will be shit but if you think of it compared to job progression, you get better every 4 months. It's not easy but it's profitable when you know how. If you actually study it online and read a book or two you can get up to scratch and ready to grow in a week or two, I have a book for it somewhere that I cant remember the name of
Camden Martinez
I have everything. HPS lights, nutrients, growing media and secure area, seeds, you name it, you're talking well over 1000$ and you still have to pay for electricity.
Also it's straight up just not what the fuck this thread is about and it's counterproductive. So I stopped trying, and am not doing it again unless my state makes it legal. Thank you.
IF POT IS LEGAL WHERE YOU LIVE, yes, growing may be a good idea. Not legal? Probably shouldn't risk it.
