My cat just died today. I can’t stop fucking crying, the way he died was so gruesome to me it made me sick. I loved him so much and I already miss him. I never really had friends so it was always just me and him in my room relaxing.
Anons who lost a companion that was dear to them, how did you deal with it? I feel like I will never get better. Pic is him
Damn dude, I'm sorry you went through that. I dealt with losing my dog by thinking of how he'd want me to be happy. He wouldnt want me to be sad about him.

My cat died and I had to comfort it before it died. I know your pain bro but I always keep it in my heart that Smokey is looking from heaven.

I always felt you should honor the death of a loved one by living your life to the best you can. Celebrate the good times by making others feel the way your cat made you. My sincere condolences, OP.

No, today I noticed he was breathing very hard. Right away I knew something was wrong. Every minute it got worse and worse. While we were rushing to go to the vet, spit started to fall out his mouth but he was still breathing a bit. I put him in the cage and ran outside to the car but at this point he was completely out of air. He started to squirm everywhere begging for air, his eyes turned so big too until I heard one last choke and his body just turned lifeless. I tried everything to help him but nothing worked. It was so fucking random. He was fine yesterday eating, drinking using the bathroom. Idk what the fuck happened.

Yes, I know that feel very much so. I had a black cat that looked almost identical to your cat. He died about 3 years ago after 8 good years. I was like you. Not many friends/very introverted so I would always relax with my cat on my bed for hours on end while I was relaxing with a good book or while watching TV. I was crying like a baby non stop for the entire day. It took me a good month to stop being so depressed about it. Eventually I moved on but I will allways miss him. Animals are such beautiful creatures that never judge us and only ask for warmth and kindness. I feel good knowing that I gave him a life of comfort and friendship for those 8 years, knowing full well that without me he would have probably died years ago okn the streets as a feral cat. He was about a 6 months old when I suddenly found him 10 years ago at my doorstep. He wouldn't leave so I made him mine for 8 long years. He was such a nice cat and would never get angry at me even when I treated an abscess he had one time when I had to pop it open with a needle. You and I will die too one day, perhaps it will be much longer than a cat, but we all will be gone sooner or later. All we can do is live life well and give the best companionship to our pets as they provide to us.

That’s exactly how I feel. My cat wouldn’t want me sad but dammit I can’t help it. I almost feel like I have no energy.
Thank you though, it really means a lot even though we’re strangers. That goes for everyone else who replied as well.

>That goes for everyone else who replied as well. No worries user, it will be alright. I'm the user here btw

Rejoice my friend, no more toxoplasmosis
Tyler Turner
He was only 9. Idk what was it. I fed him everyday, made sure he had fresh water, etc He showed no signs until today. You don’t have to pray, I don’t want to use your time. But if you still wish to do so, I am very grateful. Thank you for taking your time from whatever you were doing to even post here.

Your Cat is a looker, what's his name? Ultimately it's a time thing as common an answer as it is. Eventually the sharp pain will become a dull ache and will subside, and eventually you'll not think about how he died but how he lived and the joy your brought to one another. Godspeed user, I wish you the best in the coming months.

My cat of 11 years died right in my arms. I still miss her sometimes meaning she pops in my head. It will get better trust me user. Give it a few months to get back on track. I got a new kitty after 3 years or so. Love them all

>be me >have black cat >good times >4 years go by >one day realize I can't hear a meow >start calling whiskers >"Whiskers!! Whiskers!!" >wife asks what's wrong >"can't find whiskers!" >"check garage" >good thinking >go to garage >check inside cage >see him >"oh thank god whiskers" >cat in cage >mummified >mfw I never fed it >mfw forgot I had a cat and didn't hit me until 4 years later
