I can't exactly put my thumb on what it is, but there is something about LA that is different than the rest of the country... not just politically or culturally, but something beyond that seems to push human consciousness even 'further' into whatever it is we are heading towards in our final stages of human evolution.
There is the obvious degeneracy that is rampant and undeniable, but LA is also like this external genetic fitness filter that everybody is subject to. The cream really does rise to the crop here. Whether it be actors, athletes, entertainment stars, scientists, government officials, whatever it is, it seems the 'best' of anything resides here and only here.
It's almost as if the extremes of human behavior are slowly being stretched even further here, and that for every stereotype the extreme version is just that much more prevalent creating cultures within cultures within cultures... It's not just the loads of extremely attractive men and women alongside their opposites, the loads of successful and rich alongside the homeless and mentally ill, but the sheer density of it all combined into one concrete zoo that seems to procure a survival of the fittest culture in it's truest forms.
I'm really not sure if LA should be nuked or not. I'm entirely sure anymore if LA is a bad or good influence on our country.
It's almost like a different planet here, and maybe that is something most would not want to be apart of, and rightfully so, but living here has really made me understand 'what' America really is and 'who' the American dream is being sold to. The ones that matter, the ones that push the boundaries of whatever segment of society they represent, the ones that can lead and persuade others to follow via any means possible.
There is a sickness, some sort of cultural disease that originates here and spreads, but whether that 'disease' is bad or good, is like deciding if AI is bad or good. It's neither, it just is, and we must accept it.
