I don't have any other addictions I'm aware of and don't wish for one. I'm probably keen to start a hobby. Maybe cryptoshit? Kind of want to be pragmatic since have this guilt of wasting so much time.

I wish I knew the answer OP. I've been here for 13 years now and it's impossible to quit despite there being less and less threads worth reading. People say getting hobbies, friends, etc will replace it but in my experience it's simply not true. What Jow Forums satisfies has more to do with humans wanting to collect more new and fresh information. The best advice I have is maybe try picking up books if you want to read, and discuss them with people for opinions, those are the 2 main factors that causes the Jow Forums addiction. Brain fart, I mean to say fewer and fewer. I don't know when it became obvious (to me) but this site is just extremely loopy now. There's so little fresh and spontaneous content, it's like a poison that's corrupting it's users.
