That's what I do, but then I don't get satisfactory answers or I get insults

Because most people, not just this board, forget that the right advice, the effectiveness of advice, depends solely on the individual they're giving it to, and not necessarily what the adviser thinks is right for them.

Just because the advice given isn't something you want to hear does not necessarily men it's not good advice. Insults are tragically common, try to ignore them best you can and don't respond to the trolls.

If it doesn't work for him personally, and if he's rejecting for whatever reason (no matter how stupid and consequential it is), it IS bad advice.

If it doesn't work for him personally it doesn't make it bad advice. What if it works in the majority of cases? Does this one case outweigh all the others? And if he's rejecting the advice for whatever reason, how does that make it bad advice? Drinking water is good advice, but if I reject that advice because I don't like drinking water, does that make the advice automatically bad? Fuck off.

But it can also mean you gave been given tons of advice, but don’t like the answer and continue life in denial

And why didn't you like the advice you were given?

It didn't give any steps besides "just talk more". Worst one was "meet them through hobbies" which I already tried because after I introduced myself to them, they didn't show up to next classes..

I know this is Jow Forums and probably not the best place to ask for advice but it's all I have left

a lot of people here aren't exactly in the best position to give advice themselves.
yet they still do, and probably lead some people down some bad directions.
