I talk to a lot of leftists and there are 2 main groups of them with 2 different reasons why they want immigration.
1. Corporate neolib lefties - actually pro-business so they want more labor because studies like "The Impact of the Mariel Boatlift on the Miami Labor Market" point towards an increase in labor not leading to a decrease in wages because of the way it interacts with peripheral industries.
2. Post-capitalist lefties of all kinds from democratic socialists to communists. They want open borders because they dont even think we should have currency, let alone care about the impact of immigration on labor value.
