I just...I just really would have liked to have seen a "wonder of the world" level wall. I really don't care if it costed 20 billion, 50 billion, 100 billion, 500 billion. I really and honestly don't give a shit. I would gladly pay increased taxes for it, and if distributed over the course of my lifetime rather than 2 years, it would be negligible. plus, I have to say, a large part of me wanted the wall as an expression of monumental architecture. Something made of stone and that would be there for generations. The Pyramids of Giza have been there for fucking ever. The climate would be right down there to make the millennia spanning world cultural site. The stuff they are using now looks so rusty.
