You do realize that we're one of the most privileged people in existence, right? Not having to worry about shelter, food, discrimination...etc. We were never told that we couldn't do something and weren't hindered by our family's economic status. Sure most of us aren't rich but most Jow Forumsacks aren't homeless and poor either. We didn't have to live in the neighbourhoods completely riddled by crime and poverty. Sure it wasn't some rich gated community, but living in a normal city in western society or suburb is better than 95% of people in the world.
You must've by now come to the realization that most of our achievements are due to circumstance rather than hard work. Coming from middle class, working and studying to get a software development or other middle class-ish job is the status quo or what is expected of us. Becoming a doomer NEET is literally failing at something we're expected to do. It's like a bird failing to fly. Meanwhile, those born in the bronx or perhaps a developing country like libya have it thousands of times worse than us. Yet, when a minority suceeds, your first impulse is to degrade his achievements and claim it was due to some special treatment. Truth is, even if there was some sort of diversity quota or affirmative action, it is only leveling the playing field.
For instance, a person born into complete poverty who achieves a middle class lifestyle worked thousands of times harder than the Jow Forumsack who was born into middle class and achieved a middle class job.

I think you're dramatically overstating the value of material goods, and overstating how bad things are in, say, Peru or wherever. There are people who are happy and sad all over the world. There are even modern cities with middle class people in every country on Earth. My life is physically very, very easy, yes, but psychologically and socially it is very difficult.
