Which one should I do pol? Am I too old to go to medical school?

hijacking this thread to say that you guys literally DON'T WANT to know the stories I have from messaging white single moms on twitter about BBCs and various other extremely twisted subjects when $$$ comes into play, even small amounts like the prospect of $5. If i made a thread about it it gets deleted, ive tried.

third option. physics is closer to engineering than medical, and option two is shit

First, you will never be a general surgeon. Second, by the time you finish the medical industry will have bankrupted everyone, including itself. Doctors shilling pharma will be replaced by Alex Jones types selling natural cures for pennies.

>be faggot
>go to uni
you deserve it desu

I'd like to know. Any screenshots?

how did it take you nearly 18 years to do what most smart physicists do in two years? are you a sped? just do med school already. it's great for retards like YOU

Studying forever...

>First, you will never be a general surgeon.
Explain

You're too old.

Pls respond

Do whatever you feel its right and dont listen to 14 year olds advice, dummy.

>DId you do an apprenticeship beforehand? I don't know what info I can give you user. I'm in the same boat studying engineering and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Talk to some practicing doctors/surgeons before you decide. All of my friends from technical hs who went on to become doctors are fucking miserable. It seems like only the plastic surgeons are happy, but that's because they're defective narcissists who don't mind doing surgeries for other tiresome narcissists. No matter what, it is difficult to make decent money at any MD work anymore.

Just go to medical school.
I am 1 year away from getting a PhD in physics and have been doing fire/rescue (EMT) for a year now. I can honestly say doing EMS has been way more satisfying and engaging than physics has ever been. Don't do physics, go to the medical field. Your only other alternative is to go into medical physics. You will need a PhD in medical physics to be useful, but you could be head of radiology/imaging or medical physics, or research new medical imaging devices. Medical physics includes things like proton therapy.

>1 post by this id

Well, what else do you want me to say nigger?

Yes, medical physics is on the radar as well.

Go get a Masters with a Stipend in Engineering. Medical School is going to cost you 100-200 thousand, plus Jew Usury, and you won't have a lot of freetime to live your life. I don't know if you're married or not.

Teaching High School is for Beta faggots and Women.

I want you to kill yourself

This. I'm a pathologist in Canada and it was not worth 9 years of my time. Medical school is where people who want a guaranteed paycheque end up. I would have done business or AI work if I could go again.

Why pathology? If I have to deal with Somalis they're how I like them

I don't care how old you are. If you can afford it, go to medical school. Once you finish that, you'll earn some money. It's all fine.

Forget the 300k, nobody cares about that and no, you will not be a "general surgeon", only 5% of doctors end up in surgery, 95% do other stuff, which can often be much more lucrative.

>me, who is currently laboring away in my second year of residency (Facharztausbildung) in internal medicine and gastroenterology for peanuts in great old Deutschland

Edit: take home for me after our retarded taxes is $175k CAD/year but gross is ~$410k CAD. I work 65 hour weeks

take that BS in physics, get some coding job, save your money and invest it, then bail on the USA for South America where you can bang local hotties living off your high value American dollars.

Heads up, Radiology is going to be taken over by AI. AI has already been developed that reads images faster and more accurately than Humans.

Probably. Residency will hurt you. 80+ hours a week followed by 60 hours a week when you hit fellowship/attending.

HS offers the tempting quality of life, but you'll have to silently condone pozz. Take the middle path. Get the masters.

Attached: nazbol.png (532x475, 190K)

what you are looking for is reddit.com

if your doing an engineering degree try and double it with CS. EE and CS is the perfect combo

>Go to South America to fuck STD-ridden shitskin 'Women'.
Fuck off Chang.

>80+ hours a week followed by 60 hours a week
Is this really the case in America? Thank God I am not there then. I may earn a shit salary as an Assistenzarzt in Germany, but we generally have 40hr work weeks with the occasional 50-55hr work weeks, but only when generally needed on weekends (which in case of my speciality isn't really the case that much).

its a better choice than. marrying some 30 year old roastie.

much more guaranteed as well then the prospect of marrying a good young virgin white girl in the US who will be an obedient and faithful wife. the culture doesn't produce women like that anymore

I recommend that you not do medical school, and that you not do graduate school. I think it's just too late for that stuff at your age... and the fact that you're asking Jow Forums means you're not driven enough towards either one to really be a success.

Go for the big money op. You will find a good wifu, no issue getting married in your 40s

>216203145
u wnat that college boi-pucci you know it

If you do go to medical school make sure it's an MD school
DO is going to soon become primary care while MD is specialized

>Teaching High School is for Beta faggots and Women
Bullshit, there needs to be more male teachers

What does this have to do with politics?
Kill yourself

Hey user, i went to medical school at 34 after working 10 years in big Pharm. It was the best decision I've ever made. I hate to sound cliche, but its truly is very rewarding to follow your dreams and do something of this magnitude. There is always a few older student in every med year so dont worry about age gaps between you and your peers. Good luck!

There were quite a few 40-50 year old medical students in my graduating class

surgery is a specialty that will take another 4 years on top of the 4 year medical degree. did you factor that into your equation?

Attached: 1560362046322.png (479x837, 846K)

>tfw the health care specialist is your age

Reason why I have not been to the doctor or dentist in a long time as a 29 year old boomer

>s $175k CAD/year but gross is ~$410k CAD. I work 65 hour weeks

holy fucking shit are you kidding me? you lose more than half your time and work to taxes? wtf? why would anyone bother? 65 hour work weeks and you dont even keep 40% of your own earnings. wtf dude that is seriously depressing shit right there. fucking demoralizing. youd think canadians would have done something about that by now. here in USA its pretty bad but not that bad. our top bracket is 40% tax rate, so you still keep 60% and can offset that with other shit you claim. my god, imagine being in the negative ratio of work to tax money paid. fucking hell

for every 1 hour of work you do, you get paid for 25.2 minutes of labor. amazing

Attached: rage.png (400x416, 156K)

Your brain does not have the plasticity anymore. If you didnt get a degree by 28 which is the wall for learning, you better kill yourself. And trying to pick up MD at your 40ties with a sole dream to make some money? Jesus christ, With a physics degree you can get any well paid technical job there is, because, physics degree is signaling your huge iq. Not with this shit going on though. Sincerest apologies for your parents for making a perpetual child.

>3.7+ GPA, 173+

>do it all again
>2L Biglaw internship
>don't be a sperg or retarded
>receive return offer
>finish up school and be guaranteed 200k+ starting
Just do it OP. Pretty solid plan for a very successful career and with your physics degree you can go into patent law. I just hope you don't have a fucked up GPA because it hurts, bad. Law is an entirely prestige oriented profession so if you don't have the right school/grades you'll be doing drone level work for 50k or flipping burgers with 200k in debt for the next 40 years.

>unironically being 34 and having this simplistic view of salary/career

you're doomed, how the fuck are you that old and still not making a living. trumpcucks are truly the most degenerate queers on the planet. i got a BA in writing and i make 120k+ a year working in technical software sales/engineering. just go out and do stuff you fucking faggot. college is just a slip of paper that says "this proves I'm not a complete retard"

MS engineering in avionics. Don't do physics. Get a job in defense and make money while helping to explode sandniggers

he's probably salaried, and can't protect his pay. so the government rapes him. If he was fee for service he could incorporate as a business.

He could keep more in the business shell, and invest it. but even the government is starting to screw us on that. this is what happens when the top 10% of earners pay 50% of all collected tax

Have some kids, like right now, this will all be pointless if you don't. If you heart calls you to be a doctor go for it, but kids and med school are a tough balance. Maybe masters degree is the way to go, and become a professor or something with a physics masters degree requirement.

please do this user you dont know wtf your missing

Do biomedical engineering user
My cousin does it
Not only is it a booming industry always hiring and you’ll make a lot of money
You’ll help make artificial wombs
Cure aging
Invent nanobots to kill diseases
Use crisper to grow taller

I think your real implied question is whether you should settle down with a woman or do medicine?

29 and lost here

Hes gonna need the medicine dealing with a woman.

Just because you’ve given up on life doesn’t mean others should. I finished dental school at 38. Oldest dude in my class at IU but you know what? 180k/yr for Monday-Friday 9-5. Talk shit all you want. I’m happy :)

You will never achieve your degree if you keep spamming this thread. This is the third time you posted this today? What kind of data are you actually after faggot?

Sheltered retards with rich parents detected.

>here in USA its pretty bad but not that bad. our top bracket is 40% tax rate, so you still keep 60%
OK, so I have some bad news for you. If you end up making enough money to be in the highest tax bracket you will likely work in a state that also has high taxes (not just income, but also property). You will easily be paying 50-60% in taxes if you live in NY or CA. Also 65 hours per week is less than many fields require to make the $. Any less work, and clients fire your ass, and then your partners eject you from the firm.

>Your brain does not have the plasticity anymore
That's fucking bullshit. I changed careers twice out of boredom, graduate degrees from top schools and hard-ass certification exams each time. Was it harder at 48 than it was at 24, of course it was. But it was doable, and I was more disciplined due to age. Don't let the age thing stop you in your 30s ffs. That said, I do feel slower now that I'm in my early 50s. The brain is not running as well as it used to.

you're too old to become a surgeon. ya blew it.

even if you get into medical school, which is unlikely since they consider people more motivated than you unless you're a nigger.

so two more years, you're 36 and just graduating undergrad. 4 for med school. then another 3-6 years in surgical training. you'll be getting close to 50 just to be a beginner surgeon. by then, you're already losing your eyesight and coordination.

face it, you fucked yourself.

i wonder how many africans his canabucks pays for to feed and fuck

> be me, 24
> almost done with BA in international relations and have clearence
> got a python cert and a data visualization cert
> just got accepted to first "data science" job, $85k starting (low for my area of work, but I wanna start out somewhere)
> I'll be putting shit from Excel spreadsheets into SQL with a Python script and making graphs of data

What should I do to progress, lads? I want to get my BS in compsci to complement, but idk if that's overkill. I'd honestly like to freelance online until I can live off of that and travel. Either that, or get into foreign policy shit with the government

Attached: 1404583356795.gif (400x244, 2.92M)

Teaching is probably the comfier profession and you'll be quite old when you finish med school and residency and plus you'll need years after that pay off your med school debt.

Teaching is completely safe from automation and you can always do some tutoring on the side too.

Only way I'd recommend going to med school is if you really have a passion for it but judging by the fact that you're asking Jow Forums for advice about your career. probably not.

I'd say teaching, it's quite comfy and we need good science teachers, but there are a few issues

>your 34, and you will need to pick up at least 6 grad courses in education to get your teaching cert.
>at 34 you will *never* qualify for any pension. You are too old, so will never make that 80% retirement pay.
>sure science teachers are in demand, but you are gonna spend your first 10 years teaching 'Physical Science' to low level students - that 50 year old physics teacher that gets the top students has another 15 years to retirement
>rural districts are comfy, but pay is usually low as are openings
>most students (and I mean like 95%) don't give a fuck about science - a school of 1000 kids might have 25 dedicated students... most of the top students (anywhere) think they wanna be authors or journalists

That said, there are some perks

>pay is decent if you put in your time - masters + more courses usually moves you up the pay scale - urban teachers (would not advise) make 80k on average
>first year or two sucks, but once you get the ropes the whole summer, vacations & snow days off is sweet
>if you make it, the pension sets you up...
>heathcare and shit is usually really good

t. Gen-X physics/chem teacher

I see 4 chicks, 1 straight male, and 1 gay male in that photo. The asian chick is sure to graduate, unless she marries some rich dude first and says fuck it I'm having kids and not working. Assuming the 4 chicks do graduate, at least two of them will quit or go to part-time after only a couple of years working. The gay male may continue working, but he's good looking so he may "marry" an older rich dude and quit working too. The straight guy looks like a pack mule. He's going to slave for decades to support his wives and kids. So out of 6 med students I see at most two hard-working doctors, likely just one.

OP, instead of a doctor, have you considered trying to get into CERN since you have a Physics Degree.

Not saying scientists are rich or anything but there are certain scientific organizations that can make you feel important while doing decent pay.

Since you are pathologist, ever consider joining the FDA.

I heard FDA can be interesting. Search for the source of food disease outbreaks, etc

Med School and Residency can be pretty harsh.

So you’ve proven that all women who make pro nigger pics vids are paid shills tell us something we didn’t already know.

This isn’t that far off the Jew and his god of money have destroyed so much that only the aryan god of war can defeat him once and for all

I've worked with plenty or doctors who have gone to medical school in their late 30's one even paid off his student loans of within 5 years. Its never to late to go hard into medical school. Plus going to school older makes you focus harder.

Yeah okay pal, I see the germanized "physicians assistant" I won't take any of your crap. We have the same job here and the hours are the same too.

This is true any science degree + law is fucking insane and if he can't do T14 he can always do a Plan B like teaching if he doesn't want to bust his ass doing an LSAT and if he scores really low the first time.

You are lucky to be where you are with your dorky ass degree, you get two half assed certs and make 85K from some Boomer who doesn't know what data science is, you know most people who get an actual degree getting the freaking straight As in mathematics make doing data science its probably like 100K. Maybe 90k.

Just get your degree in cyber sec and use your government connections and eventually you can get 130K being a cyber sec boss.

Most people would like to do a liberal arts degree and get your job lmao

>1 post by this id

What about the med chicks tho? Can he be banging and bagging one as a wife?

Did what you are contemplating essentially, met a much younger medical student and had some smart kids. We make almost 600k between us and love our jobs. Also Jow Forums is a bunch of untermensch faggots

>It seems like only the plastic surgeons are happy, but that's because they're defective narcissists who don't mind doing surgeries for other tiresome narcissists.

Plastic surgeons are happy because they make boatloads of money, don't have to deal with poors, don't have medically needy patients, have virtually no emergencies, work regular hours

> it is difficult to make decent money at any MD work anymore.

Especially if you count underpaid and unpaid hours in education, plus student loan interest, plus your sky high taxes, plus the 60+ hr workweeks for the rest of your life. Some doctors earn like $20 an hour
