The one on the right looks like army aircorps or early airforce admin/intelligence, because of the lamp and the star which were used by the airforce/air corps

You could email this image and a request to the Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution and see if they have someone knowledge in military insignias. I'm guessing some unit of the US Army air corps stationed in North Africa or the Med, but I have no real idea.
