Was it a war crime?

When Americans forced German citizens to go into concentration camps?

OY VEY! War crimes can only be committed by Nazis! You should really stop asking such antisemetic questions, goy. Just think back to your public school indoctrination back when you still believed in Santa Claus.

why would it be?

what crime? and given war was over, and no one was killed.... does it fall under any definition of a war crime?

You phrased that incorrectly.

Collective punishment of civilians.

US was a majority german irish nation during WW2

Japanese were treated the same as jews and they dont play the victim card

It was.
So was Hiroshima
So was Katyń
So was every single pogrom
So was forcing japs into camps
So was forcing chinks into becoming test subjects on topic ' How long does it take to freeze human's head'
So was bombing of Dresden
So was Auschwitz
So was Treblinka
So was countless other shits happening on BOTH sides of conflict

One thing you need to understand is there was no good guys, everybody did what it takes.
And so should you.

Showing people what their government was doing is punishment?

No they were not

They were not nazis, they were civilians!

Much like the civilians Israel punishes for what Hamas does...

If by "showing" you mean "taking them at the point of a gun".

So taking them to see a lovely holiday camp with swimming pools and horse rides and bunnies, is punishment?

Many were Nazis.

Many voted for Nazis.

But what is wrong with taking them to a nice place where the inmates were better fed than the Germans. I am sure those nice inmates shared their food with the starving Germans from the near by villages, and played them lovely music with the orchestra, and let them use their nice hot showers

And of course the visiting people would have been delighted to see the excellent hospital, the modern dental surgery the love,y maternity ward. Didn’t they play with all the healthy bouncing babies?

>Many voted for Nazis.
It's still collective punishment because those civilians were taken by force without due process or trial.

Funny how they never liberated any camps, the Soviets invited the Americans when the camp was ready to be investigated, Soviets starved out those inmates and when they were dead they called the Allies, come and look what the germans did, Hilarious that the camps the allies liberated had zero proof of death camps, all Soviet camps marked as death, THESE STARVATION crimes belong to the Soviets, fitting they also starved Ukranians in the holodomor, excellent at starving people.

No, it was justice.

The real war crimes were the ones committed by the polish jewish commies in the danzig corridor.
The jewish bolsheviks in russia and eastern europe during the rise of the soviet union.
The Frankfurt School implementing Gramsci's long march through the institutions into American academia.
The Weimar Republic.

fuck no it wasnt and fuck you.

Actually everything you said was wrong

But how was it punishment?

I know a few people died in the last few months of the war in the camps - but with over a thousand camps and over say ninety days, that was only about 3 people per camp per day, so they must have been easily cleared up, really. Those lovely holiday camps would have been nice to see.
