>b-but i like getting out of the house
>muh hard work
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

people were never meant to work nearly as hard as they do today

no one puts in 40 hours every week of work.
the only reason there's so many hours is to prevent people from getting multiple jobs.

this is a marie antionette tier retarded comment

people were meant to fuck eat vegetation and small game and sleep

all of this civilization shit is a spook so .0000! of the species can live like hyper decadent gods

????????????

>t. people who have never held a full-time job in their life. there are plenty of people who have multiple part-time jobs a week. also, you can easily put in 40+ hours a week if management will let you go into overtime, or if you own your own business. having a purpose to wake up in the morning and having responsibilities is the key to a long life.

tl;dr - you dont work too hard. youre just fags who should an hero asap

You must have a low class job. People in the middle and above work well above 40 hours.

that wasn't supposed to be all green text but it applies

>How long did medieval peasants work?
>There were labor-free Sundays, and when the plowing and harvesting seasons were over, the peasant got time to rest, too. In fact, economist Juliet Shor found that during periods of particularly high wages, such as 14th-century England, peasants might put in no more than 150 days a year.

Watch this. The modern world is built on constantly working for your masters.

Agrarian lifestyle is best. Be a rice farmer. You work two months a year and get the rest of the time to focus on your hobbies. You can make whatever you need and the community pitches in to help each other.

Why do you think there were so many festivals in the past? They had a ton of free time.

It's a myth farmers like that constantly worked themselves to death. They worked themselves much less then chilled enjoying life

Have you ever looked up a medieval festival calendar? Hundreds of festival days a year where you werent allowed to work

B-B-B-B-
BUT MUH BUSTED ASS
fucking NEETS!!!!

millennials can't change a tire...

What is this shitty knock-off meme complete with off-brand watermark?

The notion you have to work constantly in order to have a happy life is propaganda brought about by the elite trying to convince us to act as slaves. Heck literal slaves probably didnt work as much since most of their job was planting and harvesting crops then chilling in their shacks.

Work yourself to the bone. Work on sundays. If you dont put in work after hours then youre not committed to the company. Keep chasing that carrot like the beast of burden you are. If you do all this then you'll be successful... right? Dont want to be poor living in the country. Thats awful... right? Who needs time to devote to their family? Life is about work and nothing else

/s

Work only exists to give your family a happy life. Materialistic consumerism is a deal with the devil. You dont NEED all this shit

Also the first ones to starve when someone with actual character can band together more than 3 people.

They need to learn. People should go full trad. Make your own stuff rather than buying it

The amish make tons of money by making only their own stuff, only buying from each other and selling to everyone

wagecucks seething

now here's someone who isn't a valuable asset to his company... :^)

Almost every problem in society that Jow Forums goes on about can be put down to people working too much.

Examples:

>Nuclear family breakdown / Low birthrates

Men and women both need to work every waking moment for wages that have not risen in line with inflation since the 1970s. People can't afford houses, everyone is more stressed than ever (given drugs to treat this instead of the true cause of the problems too). It's no wonder no one can get a family going. Especially with house prices as high as they are, no one can afford it.
Feminism was a capitalist psyop to make businesses more money by doubling the labor pool and reducing wages.

>Muh Degeneracy
Normies spend all day at work and are exhausted when they get home. People are struggling to get by more than ever so drug use and other forms of escapism are on the rise. This issue is compounded by the above point about family breakdown. They're all linked together. Society itself is breaking down because of excessive workloads.

>Socialism / communism / SJWs on the rise

Young people are aware they're being fucked but they don't know the entire solution. They are 100% right about corporations being the enemy, but their solutions are faulty, those solutions are given to them by academics who live in the college bubble and who are out of touch champagne socialists. Kids in colleges get taught this stuff as if it's all true, but the reason they BELIEVE it is because they themselves feel shafted by the system.
The left of the days of old understood what was really going on though, unlike today.

The left has been co-opted by big corporations who want non stop low wage workers (open borders)

I could go on but those are some big ones.
Work is the scourge of our times.

Attached: WAGESLAVES 2.jpg (1024x768, 143K)

Literal slaves had gardens and small livestock which they could reap and sow freely, they had free medical care, housing, and provided for channels of entertainment. Many US slaves earned a daily, weekly, or hourly wage. Being chosen by a good slaveowner, or being a good slave, was like working for an elite corporation.
Google employees living on “campus” are voluntary versions of the slaves, as an example.

Work exists because energy is not free. Every living thing generally has to work to survive, and especially large animals like humans.
We evolved to do work. We evolved working to provide food, shelter, and a life for ourselves and our families.

That's not to say that working in a factory for a boss is ideal at all. But as you say here- the Amish make their own shit. Amish people work hard. They work all their lives too. Their little children work and their elderly work.
They don't lounge about. They're a very busy people. And they make great quality stuff. I have a kitchen table made by them. Solid as a rock.

Attached: 1401878856387.jpg (395x416, 25K)

Slavery was better than a wage job + welfare + food stamps which Walmart literally reaches its wagies to do to survive comfortably, other than that it was involuntary.
But if the consequences of not being a wage slavery are high enough, is it really voluntary either?

rare memeflag quality post i suspect pasta

I wrote it all myself just then!

Yo are you fucking retarded? This literally says working cures depression caused by being a NEET. i.e. becoming a wagecuck, albeit for only 8 hours, will cure you of your NEET depression.

Attached: Seriously?.jpg (395x662, 82K)

There's instructions in the car manual. If you have the strength to remove a lug nut and the intelligence to wipe your ass (and didn't lose the car's manual), you can change a tire.

Big truth here.
>Tfw a literal medieval peasent worked less than the average modern day man
Get me out, I'm done with this world.

Attached: 1493736057023.jpg (1280x957, 233K)

something something chess with pigeon, shits all over board.

Uhhhh yeah but they were still peasants you fucking retard. I work 40 hours a week and am fine with it because I live comfy

Attached: 1532293438206.jpg (438x219, 20K)

based.

>One day of work a week.

Haha good luck surviving on a single day of work a week. Let alone doing anything meaningful for the other 6.

Like reading the fucking onion, of course working less is better for mental health. 0 stress/0 problems.

Keep using studies like this as rationalization for why you're on welfare or NEET.

Attached: 1559000474604.gif (350x280, 2.59M)

I'm talking specifically about full-time 40-hour per-week jobs. most people have jobs not careers. most jobs don't require the whole 40 hours but companies will still make you work them for coverage (or what i suspect to keep you from getting multiple jobs).

owning a business is a whole different animal, it IS your life.

sorry to pop your ego but NO ONE is a "valuable asset" to a company. maybe the relationships you built with clients are special or you have some advance skills but if you died in a car accident tomorrow the company would be just fine. if they told you otherwise they're taking advantage of your ego to keep the golden goose around.

i was being sarcastic, no one at work is your fucking friend and i wish we can all just stop fucking pretending like they are

>only work is meaningful

literal stockholm syndrome

You know you can gain skill sets by working for a company right, it's called having a mentor? It's something that people have been passionate about since the beginning of time.

whoops. need to get my sarcasm detector re-calibrated.
I have met people like that though, they thought they were all that and more.

work is definitely beneficial though. NEETs NEEd to get bent.

they had better and happier lives than you, faggot

Does that apply to k-12 public school?

>but they were still peasants you fucking retard
Yet they owned more and had a neighborhood to care for and be cared by. The fuck do we have?

I get payed for 40 hrs/week but really only work about 10

Who's happier - a kid on summer vacation or some guy in a cubicle 8 hours a day?

kek me too. i just have a boring assistant office job and spend most of the day on websites and youtube.

Damn you can learn to better operate a forklift or fix people's electric problems. Glad I work 40 hours a week for that kind of fulfillment.

I'm sorry, but you people have absolutely no ambition, intellect, or useful skills. The way you all bitch about having to work indicates that you are bottom of the barrel workers. Of course you don't like working, your laziness and stupidity has relegated you to jobs that can't provide you with a decent lifestyle. This is your own fault. Your problem is that you then try to apply your own personal feelings of failure onto society at large. I hate to tell you this, but people who aren't losers enjoy work because it allows us to live like kings. We also get pay raises in excess of inflation each year. You are blaming the system for your own failure. This is no differenr than a nigger blaming white people for their current plight. Work hard, get educated, make connections, stop being niggers.

>it's called having a mentor?
>#MENTORHER
>Canadian flag
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP

I put in almost 90hrs a week most weeks. Cunts.

Millennial's, I'll never understand.

Attached: 1518928099194.jpg (810x1097, 564K)

Kings don't work. Go back to managing the sweatshop.

OK but I literally worked 48 hours last week and got that juicy OT. Wtf are you smoking desu?

Attached: 1392679644774.gif (250x188, 1.57M)

>168 hours a week
>Over half your life being a wagecuck.
>Factor in 8 hours of sleep a night and commuting and you have zero free time for, like, you know, shopping, paying bills, laundry...
Sure bud.

From what I can tell from pic text, it's not like working more than 8 hours is bad for your mental health, that's just when it levels off. Betcha making $50K a year is a lot better for your mental heath than making $5K.

>Betcha making $50K a year is a lot better for your mental heath than making $5K.
Because?

>8 hours/week working
>160 hours/week tendiefaggotry
How do I get this?

Attached: 1553068370259.jpg (702x695, 236K)

stay puft boi got that bling bling

Called the oilfield. I took four months off last year.

So basically you put in the SAME AVERAGE HOURS as everyone else?

Good luck doing anything in your life over changing a lightbulb with that attitude bud. You'd probably look up a Youtube video just to change out a car battery.

You know you can gain skill sets outside of a company right, it's called having passions outside of the ones you can monetize

>people were never meant to work nearly as hard as they do today
you mean to say they weren't meant to sit in an office all day long. peasants used to work the field all the time and they had better mental health because of exercise and no social media shit

and you still can't afford that steak

>work the field all the time
You may have forgotten this because you've been Jew'd that fucking hard, but growing seasons are a thing.

Keep it to bantz, not to murder.
kek

Skills you can monetize are inherently beneficial in one way or another to society.

Tell me some skills that you can't monetize that are worth being passionate about that 1000s of other people don't do.

Maybe for some? Not too sure about this one user. I get depressed and shitty feeling if i'm off for more than 3 days in a row, i stay on my computer, i get bored, i put off doing productive stuff. Maybe if i was happier overall i'd enjoy having more time off, but as it stands i can't say i'd wanna work only one day a week, maybe two or three at the least.

That's not what he said. Try again.

Imagine that, learning the things you actually need to know from youtube videos in a fraction of the time. Maybe if you were mentoring under a theoretical physicist I'd agree with your point, not some guy teaching you how to change car batteries and plaster a wall.

I would argue if you're just here to coast through life and do nothing to benefit society you're probably not worth having around anyway.

Just work 168 hours a week, user. You can't learn nothing otherwise.

I'm working like 8 days a week and going to school full time. I'm not being cute saying 8 days a week, I work an extra half shit twice a week. Only reason I'm able to do this is because I skip sleeping every other night with adderall.

Wage labor could be doubled if they just invent a medical treatment that makes you not need to sleep. Amphetamines are just a band aid, I can barely function most of the time, am constantly cutting out classes, doing the bare necessity to survive right now.

You would think solving sleep would be a big priority.

Attached: 1559956539485.jpg (429x571, 35K)

You can afford a place to live and food to eat.

do you put in OT every week? or was it just some freak occurrence?
If you're putting in OT every week it indicates that you have poor time management and may need additional employees helping you.
not something to brag about.

Let me get this straight... you have to be a consumerist to be beneficial to society? That it? I mean, I guess if you need overtime to afford breakfast...

dude you're allowed to like things without worrying about "contributing to society", fuck you're a slave

Do you believe every single person in society must work?

ahh, riveting, and what are your masters doing to "benefit society"?

Rough user. What are you in school for?

>gets hookworms

This man speaks the truth
Especially on socialism. The "other option" that isn't capitalism gets shit on by the same people.

He's figuring out how to get child labor laws repealed, putting his retired grandparents to work, and abusing his wife for not working overtime.

Just holding out for an apocalypse so he can finally be appreciated for his ability to build a deck and can his own food.

fucking rich telling the peasants to contribute while their masters sit on half the world's wealth

I've worked multiple in multiple industries, from solar power to farming irrigation systems.

You know, things that provide power to the device you're currently using to type bullshit. And water to help the produce you consume grow?

Hell, starve and sit in the dark for all I care.

You're consuming tons of products & services just by posting on this website right now.

Help save the environment, kill yourselves.

Because you can afford a wife and kids

>i work for the system to help solve the problems it creates
>be grateful, peasant

aw geez whats ur patreon bro i wanna contribute to society too

It's amazingly disgusting. I want a world where one breadwinner a family is all that's required. It's not going to happen while (((consumerist ideals))) continue.

Oh? So families are stable with just one working parent now? :^)

What skills do you have, any at all, i'm genuinely interested in what you consider a fulfilling life outside of work.

Yes, it's not hard. Ya know you don't have to be a homo or tranny either

i have no problem with "contributing" or working for a living but when it's so patently obvious it's a rule and prerogative that only applies to my tax bracket, you can shove it up your ass

You got paid. That's the only gratitude you're owed. It doesn't give you any "street cred" while anonymously posting on Jow Forums.
And the best part?
You don't own those things. You can't shut them off and demand people lose the things you touched temporarily as a wagecuck, because someone used you as an indentured servant.
Tomorrow you'll be tweeting demanding people get fired if they don't have your political opinion, kek.

Comp science, in my final year, I was bed ridden for almost an entire year during what should have been my sophomore year so I have to make up a lot of classes if I want to graduate on time, taking 3 online classes right now and 2 i commute. next semester i'll have 3 and 3 and then ill graduate. Unfortunately I work a job where sick days aren't an option, it's good pay though.

Yeah, it's a honking joke now.

Gee, could you be from reddit? You're trying too hard. How about you post an actual argument?

i write and make money from home while you bust your ass like a nigger outside

now normally i wouldn't play that card but it's people like you that have made this system into one giant pissing contest over wealth and status, so yeah wakie wakie wagie, get back to fucking work

Yeah and I spent said money on my own irrigation systems and solar panels.

I don't want to pay taxes as much as the next guy.

At least i'm building something for myself outside of the world those with no skills seem to bitch about and actually have some skills to work my way out of it in time.

>You can't shut them off and demand people lose the things you touched temporarily as a wagecuck, because someone used you as an indentured servant.
Why the fuck do you want to live in a world where Joe Surly can come disconnect your electricity because he's the one who installed it?

>write your own money from home

Sounds like a made up job. What do you do for a living again?

Except you don't. You did manual labor, or if you did do something it's equivalent to what you could have learned on YouTube in an afternoon.
What's really hilariously is this is borderline attention whoring. You're that proud of yourself working for someone else.

What possible job could there be that involves writing? I wonder...

>what is being a freelance writer

sun's fried your brain

>implying that Canadian has the IQ to read a book

I had a friend that had that mentality driven into him by his boomer step father. He had no hobbies, spent all of his free time working on shit related to his job. He has a ton of money but he also drinks himself into a coma every night. I stopped hanging out with him a while back because his alcoholism was getting sad and he constantly had an equally fucked up roastie gf of the month causing drama 24/7.
