I really do think a lot, but not all, of the problem is the owner. And I think that webm illustrates it nicely.
The pits that "snap" one day haven't been beaten and mistreated, and I'm not saying they should have been, but often they haven't been disciplined at all either because they were raised by retards who think dogs are people and if you coddle them they'll coddle the world right back. If my dog acted like the one in that webm I would make her seriously regret it. That right there is a dog that has been taught it owns the house and that it can act out when it doesn't get its will. And not getting your will when you're a dog can be something as simple as having to listen to a guess with an annoying laugh. Then they snap.
I love my dog, but I let her understand that she's not my equal. The retarded whores who let their pitbull fuck them are, literally, telling it that they are the dog's bitch.

When I was in grade 8 a pitbull killed my 8 year old Golden Retriever. Fucking dogwalker (who had been warned about doing this) showed up to the field other dogs would go to and opened his van and let them go running. Poor Rudy who was the biggest lover and not a fighter went up to say hi. There was a female Golden in his group and I guess because Rudy wasn't neutered (came from a showdog stock and we wanted to continue the lineage and breed him one day) the pit bull didn't like this and went at his neck and in one bite crushed his throat.
Rudy collapsed and the weirdest thing is the female Golden laid on top of him and growled at all the other dogs.
We told the breeder and they were devastated as well and told us that Rudy's father had just had one of his last litters and we could have first pick if we wanted another dog. We couldn't say no and Billy came into our life. Oddly Billy wasn't the most social dog (loved people mainly) and often didn't get along with other dogs. We joked that Rudy had come back and wasn't putting up with shit from any dogs.
It took me a long time to forgive pit bulls as I have been around very loving and family protecting pit bulls, however it became apparent that unless you were an owner/family member, they are always on guard and in protection mode. It's a little scary given that many breeds of dogs seem to be happy go lucky and want to play. They are always just so intense and seem like they could snap at any time.

I've been noticing a young wigger-type girl walking a bully pup in my neighbourhood lately. Well, really it's the dog walking her because she's obviously not taking the opportunity of that first formative year to teach the dog not to walk ahead of her and pulling the leash constantly; it just sort of drags her along to whereever it wants to go. I think the one nice thing about having pitniggers be legal here is they are THE perfect canary in the coal mine to tell everything you need to know about someone. Better than tattoos on women, better than anything else.

The reason they keep getting into trouble is because of weak and stupid owners, the dogs that have attacked people have not been controlled properly and/or did not exist within a clear heirarchy in which their place was understood.
A pitbull is a fierce and loyal companion assuming the owner is worthy of the dogs respect and love, but they will not tolerate the weak or the stupid and if allowed they will often lash out when the boundaries are not being properly enforced.
Think of them as being like a thoroughbred racehorse, only a competent skilled rider is ever going to be able to ride them and build the trust and mutual understanding that is needed to get the best from the animal, or as a high performance racing car, one without driver aids, if you can't drive to the required standard getting behind the wheel is going to end badly for you, the car and anyone unfortunate enough to cross your path at the wrong moment.
I have a near telepathic relationship with my dogs, I can communicate with them using only a look or subtle gesture and they respond instantly, the best behaved most disciplined animals I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with, but i also accept that each of them is a potentially lethal weapon that must be handled with care and experience at all times
