Trump can be an idiot but he's smart enough to know that over-reaching on Iran will make him Bush 2.0. Of course that doesn't explain his horrible decision to bring on Bolton but at least he's redpilled about Bolton's agenda. He actually did well this last week. Iran shooting down a drone was a genuine act of aggression, so moderate military retaliation could've been a reasonable response. Instead, he emerged as the more restrained leader who could've bombed them but instead chose to spare lives and open the way to peaceful dialogue. It's posturing, but the kind that will help him win in 2020. A strong leader but not an unhinged one like the media portrays. Great job Mr. President.
