Yes it does. The whole idea of separation of church and state comes from the letter sent by Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Church, where he says that there is a wall between church and state, and that the government will not involve itself in church matters.
Contrast that with the communist fedora tippers in America today (who's organizations have donors who are the (((usual suspects))) trying to rip down monuments claiming they violate separation of church and state, when they don't at all. Those very people ignore actual violations of separation of church and state, and it is a disgrace.

"Separation of church and state" cannot be found VERBATIM in the constitution.
It specifically says that CONGRESS shall make no law ESTABLISHING a religion or PROHIBITING the free exercise thereof.

This clause was only put in so that the Federal Government wouldn't create a national church like the Church of England. Nothing in that text prohibits a state from doing so.
