I didn't see a point of it as a kid, and I don't see a point of it now as an adult. I look back to how things were during the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages and all I see is what the Communists and Socialists want to go back to, and I see too that those times were largely governed by religious zealotry.
When you learn early on that there is nothing more dangerous than a zealot, you kind of become turned off to the whole organized religion thing. I see religion as a means of self improvement and enlightenment, but I also think that it's better to walk with God than behind him as well as to remember that no one is going to help you until you help yourself.

Organized religion is an OS and antivirus for NPCs. It prevents most of the Jewish playbook from functioning when properly installed. Unfortunately true organized religion in the west ate massive shit in the 19th and 20th centuries which allowed Jewish tricks to creep in around the edges. The first principle of a good religion is it must comport with what we know about the physical world. Christianity hasn't satisfied that in about 150 years unless you get into increasingly esoteric ass covering and interpretation. I find myself more sympathetic to Buddhism on that front because the Dalai Lama has said that if science proves part of Buddhism wrong, then Buddhism will have to change.
