It seems that many Russians today hate their own country and themselves. This is very sad. Russians seem very angry a lot of the time too. I talked to an old Russian immigrant that grew up during the war and she said that the only food they had to eat was bread and that when the Germans occupied the land she was in they gave them chocolates and eliminated all of the crime. But then there are other stories of Germans killing innocent people, but for the most part I don't buy that stuff because the Germans are not a savage people. They had laws and followed their officers. I am sure that If any German soldier was caught doing something inappropriate they would be punished severely.
