I'll take his 500k in cash in addition to my loans being paid off then.

Unironically based

Hey Bernie and Elizabeth I've got 45k in student loans and you can gladly pay them off. Thanks!

How is it possible to get 500k student loan?

That's extreme even by the loosest American standards. I know a guy with 250k ... went to one of the best law / business schools in the US (northwestern) to study theater.

Good grief, where did he go to college?

>higher taxes for the rest of your life for 40 to 50k upfront
Absolutely shit tier deal

If he went there for 6 years (for a master's) that'd be about $42k per semester, which isn't surprising for some of the more expensive places.

but you accept to pay the jewish usury for no reason without saying a word because you're a fuckoing coward a sociopath trying to rationalize your lack of empathy

Cool, one more house for Bernie.

Okay. I'm not familiar with American universities but would these unis cost that much?

by being an absolutely zogged american. the dude in OP’s article should be hung from the rafters in minecraft

For all of that? Jesus, I'm surprised it wasn't more.

>500k
How is that even possible? Why is it that people choose to go to private schools when public schools offer the exact same education for cheaper.

>some jew is against loan forgiveness
i am truly shocked

>more student loan bullshit
They're really trying to get the youngsters on board with this whole socialism thing.
You know it's a REAL problem when they get the gameshow people to try and tackle it.

I'll have close to that - I went to ivy league for both undergraduate and law school, but wasn't poor or black enough to scholarships

Granted, I'll be able to make $200,000/yr straight out of law school, so I'll probably pay it off faster than a lot of these bernie supporters

forgot my propaganda related.

Attached: socialist-propaganda-show.png (1743x767, 1.75M)

You could instead invest the 50k instead and have 10x that in 30 years but I guess >muh taxes are more important

>socialism is a game show where the prize is paying off student debt
How is this a bad thing? Why should we be subjected to debt for the rest of our lives? Why should usury be a thing?

SO BRAVE

REAL MEN ACCEPT A LIFETIME OF DEBT WITHOUT THE JOB PROSPECTS OF BABY BOOMERS, AND THEY'RE PROUD!

Sounds like a Patreon scam waiting to happen. Getting the boomers all excited about a kid who appreciates bootstraps to milk some gulloble people for money.

Every day i thank god for not being american

500k what the fuck.
>hey bernie, im voting against my economic interests, HOWS THAT

So the unis he went to are really expensive then?

Its actually 10 times that amount. Its half of a million dollars in debt

Those are fairly expensive, yeah, but also just going to that many places, and getting that many degrees would have taken forever, meaning he was there for a ton of time.

I make more than that as a 1 man HVAC company. And I didn't go to college. Hope it all works out for you.

because right wing retards like this want the right to be ruled over by capitalist jews

Brainlet

>be american
>go to campus
>that'll be $499.99 first entry fee + tip
>be guided to class for a $20 tip
>unlock semester course for $199.95
>that was just for registration
>you need to buy access to the actual course for $549.99
>tip the professor
>need to buy all his material separately, get threatened to fail class if i'm not buying all their shit
>entire class was just one big sale event but at least they accepted credit card
>leaving campus needs sign out fee $25
>tip the security guy because he gave you a bad look
>parking for the day turned out to be $150
>in my first semester care package there's one complimentary pen
>it was a good first day at university, can't wait to unlock my other courses
>wonder when the weekly shooting takes place and if i can get first row seats for 100 bucks

Parking is more expensive than that

>to study theater.

>I'll be able to make $200,000/yr straight out of law school

You don't have that in writing and the AI's will replace you.

>agree to pay certain amount back
>zoomers thought their parents would pay for them
>wahhh daddy gobmant save me
College kids really are disgusting.

multiple phd meme degrees

...

If the degree cant get you a good job, then it is worthless. We should be allowed to return them for a full refund. Consumer protection?

>my degree in creative writing isn't good enough for a job wahh daddy gobmant save me
Why didn't you pick a real field? Why did you pick something useless?

what in the actual fuck. how do you get 500k dollars in student loans? Is school that expensive there or is it some crazy interest rate?

Why don't these people ever talk about why college is so expensive in the first place instead of whether the government should pay for it?

>agree to pay certain amount back
>any debt except student loans
>declare bankruptcy and walk away!
Hmmm

>one person agrees to pay their loan back and doesn't because they're a child and don't want to
>other person has house burn down and needs bankruptcy
One of these things isn't like the other.

my student loans aren't nearly that high where the fuck did he go to school? would be nice if I didn't have to live off ramen noodles so I can afford rent and gradually pay them off

America doesn't loan out money just for tuition. You can draw from loans from private banks and use that shit to pay for apartments, groceries, ect. If you live in a big city, the total cost of living and tuition can be 50k per year or more depending on the school and city.

Couple this with aggressively compounding interest and it is entirely possible. But you would have to be completely financially illiterate, while trying to live a city lifestyle entirely on credit.

my student loans aren't nearly that high where the fuck did he go to school? would be nice if that debt was gone and I didn't have to live off ramen noodles while I finish my degree though

Because they get a 4 year degree at a really expensive school and take 6 years to get that degree and live that entire time on credit without working at all. I've met people who bought brand new cars with their student loans. I also met some really stupid cunt who took out 200k in student loans without even going to school. She literally didn't understand the concept of having to pay the money back.

Americans can probably fill in, but I gues it's something like this:
>Highly rated American universities carry a lot of prestige, graduates have a good chance of earning lots of money
>universities start charging absurd amounts for basically a piece of paper with their name on it
>people pay because they think it will be worth it once they graduate
>suddenly tons of college grads there's no demand for flipping burgers with huge debts they can't repay
>gubmint pls halp

Looking at 250k after law school

>9 years in training
>post grads in useless fields
many people dismiss having a BA in african dances and shit as (rightfully) useless, when they're in fact, an excellent way of getting super high GPA to enroll in postgrads that are actually employable. I cruised through BA in polsci, had a 3.9 GPA, did average on LSAT and got into an instate Law School for $7k a year. My entry level salary allowed me to pay almost half of my entire college debt of $51k

What about the concept of (((lenders))) taking on losses for making bad loans?

It's a social password.

This is exactly it. But you cant return your degree for a full refund because jews want you to be a slave for the rest of your life

That would be antisemetic goy.

Well (((they))) made that illegal after the boomers abused the fuck out of the system. People still to this day take out a dozen credit cards, pay off their student loan debt with them and declare bankruptcy. The problem is that the federal government forces them to lend money in the first place. (((They))) can't get people to take out loans otherwise or go to their commie camps without it. It's all intentional.

It's literally Hollywood brainwashing and FOMO.
If you go to community college for two years or live at home with your parents then you are a loser missing out. So you better go to live on campus and hope to join a Frat for the Hollywood college lifestyle. And nobody wants to be an upperclassmen living on campus after the first two years so you better live off campus in an apartment cuckshed with 4 other roommates. But working a job while going to college is hard, so just use student loans to pay for rent.
Oh shit, spring break is coming up? Just use the student loans to pay for your flight to Cancun. You certainly don't want to miss out.

If you have hundreds of thousands of college debt, that is fine, just own up to the fact that you were living an easy, hedonistic lifestyle and working a minimum amount (if at all) while putting all your expenses on a loan that is drawing compounding interest continuously.

Of course. They can always run off to israel. They never have to pay back their debt

The one angle about student loan debt that I never see addressed is that debt is owned solely to the political left. The right was banished from colleges decades ago. Much of the current malaise of the millennial generation was inflicted upon them by the left. So why don't they protest against the left specifically for this? Especially when you have countless examples of incredible greed like colleges deliberately hiding billions of dollars in wealth while jacking up tuition through the roof. And that's aside from the fact that colleges charge students a fortune to fill their head with Marxist propaganda that's useless for finding a job after they graduate. You'd think this betrayal would piss them off and turn them against the left.

why would Jow Forums think this is base...he can keep the debt...i never drive on the highways but im still charge taxes...i dont have kids in school but i still pay property taxes...

>Granted, I'll be able to make $200,000/yr straight out of law school
Should we tell him?

Bernie is weak
We also need to steal, er I mean forgive, credit card debt and mortgage debt and my bar tab.
Burn it all Bern Bros
Vote for me
We will loot the treasury together

*that debt is owed

So the problem is because schools now treat themselves as businesses? That's a problem of capitalism not "Marxism" you literal retard.

It's not capitalism when the government is the one loaning the money.

>corporations start demanding college degrees
>colleges raise tuition so that they can filter the higher demand while still having resources available making it harder but still accessible
>politicians start sponsoring loan companies to help students out with no default loans on high interest rates with basically no filtering who can and cant take out a loan
>colleges just say fuck it to supply and demand and raise tuition prices by 80% within the first year of this subsidy
>colleges become so fucking filthy rich off of new enrollments that they dont even have to worry about supplying and staffing so their campus is full of useless administators and retards who should have never been in college in the first place
>students find out that this debt garnishes their wages and they cant just declare bankruptcy on it like literally every other loan in america
>find out that they have 45K with interest to pay off with a shitty geology degree
>this is somehow the students fault and not colleges or the lenders according to Jow Forums
thats basically how it happens but this guy went to an ivy league or a law school because 500k is literally impossible anywhere else
