the problem is not a literal physical fucking barrier that will cost billions of dollars. it is our backward approach towards immigration policies. they cannot hit the ground running, but we're demanding that they do OR we'll bar them entry, or even the right to request asylum. and then pics like this will surface, and we'll all sit around with our thumbs up our asses wondering why they couldnt "just come here legally lol". we've made it impossible for them to, and now they're dying because that's how desperate they are to leave what they're experiencing.
all of this confused the fuck out of us in 2009, when Romney started bitching about some made up immigration crisis on our border. it had been the same level of problem my entire life, and then one day we all woke up to an entire country screaming that the problem was suddenly a much bigger deal than we had thought or experienced. when we tried to tell everyone to calm the fuck down, nothings changed, everyone ignored us and started ranting about how big this sudden, brand new problem is.
it had been the same level of issue my entire life, and suddenly the changes that got made to immigration policy a decade ago are now getting people killed in 2019. and still....EVERYONE is ignoring the one state that MIGHT actually know what the fuck they're talking about.

If you are really going to be an American and you're willing to abide by our laws, don't come here illegally. I've met families who went through the process of getting here poor as fuck and basically on the verge of starvation. They waited because they actually have respect for our laws. They also said it would've been more dangerous to go across the border because of the gangs and desert. Not to mention the risk of deportation making it even more pointless. Sure it was faster, but they waited and nobody got raped (like 80% of women attempting to cross the border illegally are), nobody got killed (like countless people are) and nobody got hurt.
