It's easy

Thanks to the great Britannica empire. Also English has to be the easiest and most fucked up language to be created ever.

english is the universal language

everyone knows at least some english If you want to do big business any where in the world you have to speak english

Yes there are more Chinese speakers but nearly all those speakers are in China, they are not spread around the world like english

It's an easy af language

I started learning with flashcards in kindergarten when I was 3 or 4. I still remember the cat and the house cards.

yeah its almost like they might be native english speakers or something haha wouldn't that be funny

German media sucks, so i started watching american stuff more and more frequently. Now i basically only watch/listen to english content

Aren't you also in a non-white country?

Everything except kiddie shit is just english with dutch subtitles, all vidya are english, we get english lessons in elementary school.

But I actually learned more by playing runescape, listening to music, being too lazy to download subtitles for pirated movies/series and, of course, watching youtube videos

90% of the stuff I'm reading is in English. I guess that's the reason.

I started studying english at the elementary school, but it was pretty basic stuff. At the time, however, I started to play Apogee games (the shareware versions did come with a pc magazine). I loved them, but the plot was written in English, so I had to take a dictionary and translate to understand what the fuck was going on. Later, I started to listen to heavy metal: lyrics were in english, same story. At the same time, I started going on the internet, and guess what? All the best websites were in english, so here comes the dictionary again. I started to love the english language, I like how it sounds.

No matter what country people are from they all think in English by default

>your guys
fucking idiot mutt

This
>Dem digits
Kek

It helps a lot that you're exposed to a huge amount of English content online.

In my particular case I'd say watching movies with English subtitles has helped me as well to improve.

pierdol sie szmato jebana

It's easy for you to learn because its germanic.

I started learning English online back in 2003 (at 9 yo) from MSN live chat.

I used my dad's work computer while he's out to chat with strangers. 90% were probably pedophiles tbqh. Then I started pirating my first games pokemon sapphire and battle realm and I cruised through my English lessons from vidya.

I downloaded apacalypto and all the subtitles were in Portuguese.

That was cool.

England is very easy to learn
You have memes on england
They very funny
You learn and has fun at same time

Easy language to learn desu. Most of schools start teaching English from young ages (around 6 or 7), so it becomes practically a second language. There might be some problems in pronunciation though.

English is an extremely easy language to speak, the only hard part about is is the wide range of vocabulary associated with it, but you only need 100-200 words to functionally speak it
Also the Latin alphabet is braindead simple, almost as simple as Korean

Games, music, books, movies... Also explains the manufactured view of USA people have.

Had to learn english at 6 years old to understand what I was doing in Age of Empires 2

Also this. English is a lot easier than Romance languages, especially the verbs.

it’s the 56% of languages

the proper grammar is "you guys'..."

Not our fault you lards are illiterate

This is more of an Jow Forums question OP
Also if I had to guess either the IQ and race stuff is bullshit
Or English speaking families moved to those countries
It makes sense to speak more than one language though

you know what's really funny? seeing americans here who can't english to save their lives

porn, games, books.
in that order

Exposure and motivation. Learned most of the basics to play The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. Then I used opportunities at work, and read a lot of stuff in English, from most tabletop RPGs to Atlas Shrugged and including HitchHicker's guide to the galaxy.

T. Tabarnacos Frog who writes a lot better in English than he speaks it

You can always tell when a leaf is really a chink based on grammar use.

Its a pretty universal language

StarCraft - Brood Wars

It helps that our suffixes are consistent and extremely simple. Also the lack of masculine and feminine words.

Why don't you just kill yourself?

I've learned it on Jow Forums

What were your ESL teachers like?

We had to take French lessons in school from grades 1 to 9 but like most English speaking Canadians outside of Quebec, I can’t say two sentences in French. The general consensus on the playground was that French was ‘fag language’ we shouldn’t have to learn, and all French people were ‘gay’. It’s too bad because I wish I were able to speak French now,

English is easy as fuck.
I learned by playing GTA and watching Simpsons when I was a kid.

the proper grammar is "y'all's."
t. Texan

Lurking since 2006, you pick up on it if you read enough. I guess books would work, too, but Jow Forums pleases my autism.

We are all living in Amerika, OP.

That’s because 90% of the shit worth reading was written by Americans.

Le eternal anglo strikes again.
The french army is literally the most successful in modern history.

Tfw foreigners speak/type better English than the US

Neck yourself, 80 IQ monkey. French is a fag language and so is Portuguese

I took several years of French and I don't remember a single thing. Feels bad.

Started playing foreign mmofps around mid 2000 (soldier front) and needed to learn the basics to communicate ingame, so I learned, took me 3 months

Imagine being this paranoid.

European Portuguese sounds cool like a dialect of Russian, Brazilian Portuguese is one of the most annoying languages in the world.

Commies don't care about anything unless it has to do with physical labor. Even then it's just complaining

>shitposting from military bases
god bless our fighting men

I'm not a nigger, I speak 4 other language fluently and english is a Kindergarten tier language I picked up without even trying.

Cause you won the war.
In EU it is taught since you are six.
If Germany had won we would get taught German

Basically vidya/movies/internet is english so I've been exposed to the language since age 6

Because PS2 and idle vacation afternoons are the markers of our generation.

The fact that I can speak a second language is proof enough that my IQ is higher than that.
Also, Portuguese is the language of chads who literally took a fucking map and claimed gibs on 1/2 of the fucking earth.

>always a fucking leaf

Music, video games and movies + we learn english in school + easy language

it's a miracle

I speak Afrikaans at home but English is everywhere here. If I didn't pick it up I wouldn't have made it very far

They speak English every once in a while in our political debates, and since I'm a political junkie I eventually picked it up.

Fuck off back to Portugal, Manuel. Your portuguese is shit.

What you know as Brazilian Portuguese is just Rio de Janeiro dialect and it is indeed annoying as fuck.

Writing English is easy. Pronunciation not so much, I speak with a heavy Danish accent

show your flag, soldier

Attached: MoroccanDescribingFrenchSociety_2.png (1344x266, 57K)

I'm not Portuguese even though I'm from Hawaii.
What about the rest of Brazil?

Fuck off. We started this language, you changed it to monkey-Portuguese. Go back to the jungle indian

They all learn a basic amount in school (and they take it more seriously than burgers do because it's cool and necessary to speak another language in foreign lands) and then a lot of them improve it through playing vidya or using it on social media (they think it's cool to speak English for some reason).

Like my dumb stoner portuguese cousin speaks good english just from playing vidya on chat.

I always find it funny that a Brazilian can speak english without any accent but no american can speak Portuguese without an accent

Also, Russians and Ukrainians can speak Portuguese without any accent (and vice versa)

It's bloody easy.

School since young age plus private academies. Vidya+movies+internet stuff did the rest. However I don't consider myself a fluent english speaker.

Danish feels a lot like English to me though, including the spellings not having a lot to do with the pronunciations.

For me, the southern accent is the better one, followed by the Paulistas and then northeasterners.

Usually, I start the day drinking some good old-fashioned onions milk. My girlfriend's husband likes it too but he often adds some red fruits on it, lol what a fag.

We improved it.

I don't get it either I took French in university and wanted to kill myself

forced to learn in school at a young age, books n vidya not available in me language, really good education system.

Aren't you required to take French in high school?

Spent 8 years studying it, since I was nine years old. It's much harder to learn another language when you're an adult.
