There's a school in the UK where there was an uptick in F2M trannies and nonbinaries because they became popular in the school. Instead of being ugly dykes they "became" cute boys. i think part of it is that its easier for them to pass as men because testosterone is much more powerful in terms of its effects in shaping development.
