Why most of romanians are racist toward me? I traveled all around Romania and cities like Craiova and Bucharest are the most racist. Alright, it's time for some history. The Ancestors of the Romanian people are the Thracians. The descendants of the Thracian people are the Gatae-Dacian tribes. Dacia was conquered by Rome and this started a period of intermarriage between Romans and the Getae-Dacian people. Although, there is some evidence to suggest that the Thracian people are also the ancestors of the Romans and that Romanian is the predecessor of Latin. This group of Thracians emigrated from present day Romania to modern day Italy. Their language evolved into Latin and later they returned and conquered Dacia.
Gypsies/Roma people originally come from India. They migrated from India about 1000 years ago. Romania has a sizeable Gypsy minority (about 10% of Romanians are Gypsy) but they are ethnically different from indigenous Romanians.
