Will Classic WoW destroy the white identity movement?

I can't imagine people playing for long.
I was addicted to wow for my entire high school years. Didn't even walk during graduation because I had to go to summer school because I failed a class. Stopped playing after they ruined WoW with all the expansions. Same with most of my online friends.
I have no desire to play this game. Sure the nostalgia would be fun, but I can't see myself playing for long.

Gaming industry has changed, it's been 15+ years since vanilla had it's talons gripped into the anti-social nerd culture that thrived back in those days. Blizzard shot themselves in the foot by pushing for esports and pushing the whole video games are basically digital world casinos with loot boxes and shit.

The pace at which vanilla made people play at won't attract a lot of the newer generations, it's there to tap into the market of people who left in droves years ago, myself included.

They had entire teams of mods that took complaints seriously and would investigate. I think not having cross realm communication made moderating a lot easier. I remember talking to a mod and they actually acknowledged about the player I was bitching about as being a known troublemaker.

Most people excited for it will quit when they realize/remember that leveling in vanilla is slow as hell and the game is a massive timesink without the instant gratification of newer MMOs. I'll probably sub the first month for nostalgia but I don't want it to suck up what little free time I have these days.

Blizzard has been tumbling down for the past few years now. All of their modern franchises are dead or halfway there. Even if this wow knockoff manages to be stable for a while, it might not be enough to save the company anyway. Also oldschool runescape is better, or at least it was a couple years ago, I don't know about now.

Boomer that played since the last beta wave here. What you say is not 100% true. It reaaaally varied from server to server. During beta it was open season on all servers but after launch not so much. The 2 greco-italian servers for example(english officially) were 100% free. You could say whatever the fuck you wanted. Scandi ones like TarrenMill not so much. A Dutchie friend was forced to change his nick(Fubar) cause it was a military term inciting violence.

Do you seriously believe that you'll play it all day long? The game will start, you will kill 60 monsters, finish 15 quests and finally reach level 2. Everything is archaic. You'll be discouraged in no time.
