it needs a mix of micromanagable features and automated features which the player can choose to play with for tactical depth. I haven't played the newest exp but naval invasions, convoys, ship logistics, and naval combat were very unrealistic beforehand.

The tech tree feels like it was made in 2 a hour meeting instead of a fully fleshed-out ww1 - vietnam era tech tree.

The game is completely lacking in peacetime features. There are very few actual civilian structures you need to build besides "factories" or "oil/rubber". There should be roads, rails, electricity, admin, sanitation, hospitals, etc.

The political decision chart can't model a real government with a mere 10-15 variables and your general staff or political cabinet do nothing but a small modifier.

I joined Axis and conquered all of Asia in Nilla with Fascist Mongolia (including India) but lack of boats means that you can never end the war with Britain or America and just stuck doing fuck all forever.

Poland went nationalist and attacked at the same time as the Internationale, causing them to fight on two fronts. The Second Weltkrieg hasn't even begun yet.
