S-400s take out our air support, so if they did have a bunch of cannon fodder tank platoons, that would keep us on our toes paired with helicopter support to combat our anti-tank attack helicopters.
Likely in a battle senario, the tanks would come in after the air has been secured. Then after the tanks attack, they would figure out where our AT men are and use their own air support to take them out, plus putting pressure on them via ground support if they don't want to risk our Javelin missiles coming after them.
Their best bet would be to take us on in Poland and around the Georgia region. Obviously Iran and China would provide sufficient coverage on the east and some what to the south.
S-400s is their real strength though. Without blocking our air support, they would lose a major advantage. But their MiGs and hyper sonic missiles alone are pretty good too.

Russia doesn’t even really depend on AA as much as you think, they are perfectly capable of bombarding NATO airfields and aircraft carriers. You can’t destroy a country as large as Russia from the air if your runways become unusable.
