The baby boomer generation was raised in the peak of American greatness during the late 1940s, 1950s, and early 1960s. They enjoyed a 90% white nation, a country which largely retained wholesome moral values, lived in a time when jobs were plentiful, wages were amazing comparatively speaking to the cost of living, and the American dream was shaped. Growing up they had quality public schools not yet being totally forced to integrate and bus troublesome inner city children in, the coolest cars at rock bottom prices, and education which was extremely affordable. What did they do with their many advantages?

They squandered all of them. They became a generation of entitled pussies who gave birth to the hippie/peace movement which did an extreme amount of damage undermining American societal norms. Then once they were done playing Mr. "Peace, Love, Brotherhood" bullshit, they went off to get a bachelor's degree for $3,000 dollars total, and were all given jobs immediately by looking someone in the eye and giving them a firm handshake. Once in the business world and established as the leadership in the 80s into the 90s they used their hippie sentimentality to be ruthless crony capitalists and run the economy deeper and deeper into debt while creating a massive wage/wealth disparity, allowing inflation to run amok, and destroying the middle class they had so happily grown up in. They climbed the ladder to the top and pulled it up behind them.

Then they fucked up the next generation in unimaginable ways and have spent the last 15 or so years blaming their own children for somehow not being raised correctly.

They were exposed to unconcentrated brainwashing from a very early age. A propaganda without any handle can change the mind of the young rather easily.
Boomers didn't even realize that they were brainwashed thus they took everything from television as the truth.
