Could we help restore their political views to something at least more centrist? What kinds of approaches would work?

I grew up in CA and was brought up with this kind of mindset. Didn’t spend a lot of time with my dad, which didn’t help. Also a little smarter than the regular kids so I went to the gifted classes off and on. A lot of them have sort of a beta mindset, but then I’d go back to the ghetto classes and get in fights, so the alpha mindset.
Finally joined the military and left, but it wasn’t til I made some good friends, worked out, did martial arts, and partied a lot that I really ditched a lot of that.
Now I’m somewhere in between but whenever I visit people in CA they kind of expect me to take their shit just for being white and then freak out when I don’t, like if I should apologize for standing up for myself.

I hope it helps, user. Now that I think on it though, I have one friend. On the outside he doesn't seem like a basedboy. He's fit, makes 6 figures, an engineer, etc. However, he was fat in middle school and is kind of desperate to be accepted. So he just accepted a lot of liberal views because those are popular. Every once in a while I see some wrong thoughts start to crack through, ie stereotypes about women, but his life is incredibly comfortable due to the salary so I'm not sure he'll ever make a hard change. I think those people might be dangerous in the future. They'll ascribe their success to thinking that way.
