Had this shit happen to me in school too. Basically joked with a friend, "what did a guy have to do to be taken seriously in gym class, start killing people here? C'mon, bro!" Teacher overheard it, and she didn't like my friend too much (he was kinda spergy). But since I was the one who said it, she tried attributing some of his words/actions in class as mine. Minor inconsequential shit, and even to this comment, she just said "knock it off" to. Heard nothing about it for the rest of the week, or the rest of my time in that very class. Not a call, not a peep.
Didn't find out much later that that was going to be the basis for me being charged with "terroristic threats."
Principal (a black guy) brought me in a whole week after that incident, and played good cop with me while I tried to figure what the hell I had been called down to see him for. He says some words to the effect of things being blown out of proportion here, and that they weren't gonna do much because I was "such a good kid." Just say your side of the situation now, come in tomorrow, and we'll sort this mess out.
Now I get the phone call to bring my parents in on it. They're freaking out, but I'm thinking It's cool. Principal wouldn't lie to me, would he?

And it wouldn't even need to be actively pursued euthanasia. Just a reduction in care, or a publicly funded healthcare quota kicking in at 80, where theyll set up palliative care if some 85 year old mechanic gets cancer instead of allotting 2 million in resources to him living another 10 years.
It'd need a mixed system, where as public healthcare diminished at old age, private care options were around to pick up the slack, allowing progressively better longer lasting treatment of based on success.
An inverse of what the US has now, where we currently spend obscene public monies on healthcare but limited to the very old and the very young regardless of hopelessness.
If public healthcare funding was kept for ages 4-80, and limited access for babies and geriatrics, it'd be sustainable, and probably economically very beneficial.
I'll throw in the babies as there's a ton of shit that presents ages 1-4 where it becomes apparent it's fucking hopeless and those cases can be sidelined. Severe deformations and retardations, or illnesses where the kid will longer for years and die before graduating highschool.
Like I said, a perpetual socialistic system would need to be able to make the hard calls, but also have the elasticity to allow for scientific advancement in both increasing and decreasing entitlements.
It'd require a fairly strong and homogeneous culture that evolved at a moderate pace, and strong family and communal bonds.

On a happier note, I managed to avoid the charge on my record during the "trial" with the juvie judge. It occurs long after I'm back in school (more delays). Nobody on the morning inquisition showed up, except for the teacher who originally wrote me up, just to say I did it, and she was the one who documented it. Just my dad and me on the other bench. They were getting ready to slap me with a probation if I'd just plead guilty, but the judge said something at the last second in that last statement made me start plea, "Not Guilty."

Had some black kids try to fuck me over in a similar way after the fact. Just because they thought "it'd be funny" to really try and destroy my life. I didn't even talk to them, or share most of their classes. I was just the white kid that got good grades and handed in homework.

I omitted a lot of stuff, and could've told it better it if I sat down and thought it out. But I'm still very pissed over that whole charade to this day. It fucked up my whole first semester in high school, without my old group of friends. And looking back, I can see clearly how it forced me to act in the years following it.
I think I managed to save one kid at least from fucking themselves over with their school, at least. Although it's not easy advice to tell a student, "DON'T rely on your teacher, and don't trust your principal." With zero tolerance on the line, they're just gonna put themselves first. I got lucky because they half-assed it like the shitty inner city school they were.
Did find it funny when one of my art teacher's concerns with me was that I had a Master of Puppet's and Metallica logo in a collage I did. That was my first and only art piece I got to do under her instruction. I only found that out because the counselor told me in that sole meeting I had with him. I cried when he said he believed me. But looking back, I wished he reached out more.
