Why are his hands not on the steering wheel?

If their job is redundant they will simply stop breeding and children will stop entering the profession. It's nature's way.

there's an app for that

Probably continue to kill prostitutes they pick up at truck stops? Maybe some hitchhikers?

This.. I am 60 and have a 22 year old FWB who loves older guys and we fuck every friday.. the main purpose in life is getting your dick wet and if you are not doing that god help you.

That pitbull is so fat that it has to eat 4 childeren a day.

Fuck you nigger

Continue to drive trucks for 20-30 years, because it will take at least that for the automation to become standardized and the subsequent laws regarding unmanned vehicle traffic and safety requirements. The shit isn't happening that soon to effect the current workers in the industry.

Trucks aren't going to be fully automated for like 20-30 years.

>learning to code
last time I checked this required at least 115IQ to do it at least proficiently. And truckers are the dumbest bunch out there. Anyway, they won't lose their jobs any time soon. Self driving trucks not gonna happen that fast and even if, they will still require driver to watch over it.

Some of the already code. Most of the electronic shit in the rig has to be fixed with code.

When will self driving trucks be a thing, liability wise.

Long time. Can you imagine how many will be broken into? Not to mention the technology is nowhere near practical application.

>even if, they will still require driver to watch over it.
>He actually, unironically believes it
You tried to learn programming, failed and now know the reason for your failure I see

Make 20k a month trucking?

The job will still be there, only difference it will be made for 2-digit-IQ disposable niggers, they will just have few buttons to push plus Stop/Panic button when the machine starts killing rampage.
Current drivers will have to cope.

shit LARP

>20-30 years
I think you are wrong about this. They have prototypes being tested right now.
futurism.com/the-byte/ups-self-driving-trucks
I am guessing within 5 years most trucks will be self driving.
Musk claimed in an interview that teslas will perform better than humans in 2020. Trucks should be easier because they can take the exact same routes over and over.

>what is [insert group of people forced into unemployment and poverty by technology and globalization] going to do?
acts of terrorism

they are already replacing truckies with poos and fuck me they are bad drivers

You notice that there is a human operator is that "self-driving" truck, don't you? With current technology, it's nothing more than glorified cruise control. True automated cars and trucks are still decades away, regardless of what Elon Musk claims.

There's a fleets of self driving cars in Arizona right now. We've sent shit to mars and have super computers now I highly doubt it's going to take 20 to 30 years to program and outfit new trucks especially if you don't need to pay truckers a salary anymore.

What about cab and UBER drivers? I feel don't feel scared in public of mass shootings but I am watching and thinking about it.

Hopefully the latter.

>Prototypes
>5 years
lol! Probably another 10 years before they stop killing people with the prototypes. Add another 10-20 years for the price and legislation to be passed.

they will join the revolution

Kill liberals in a civil war.

terrorism

This, and I already have enough saved for retirement, I just keep rolling because I love it and I like expensive toys and disposable income.

They said the same about trains, decades ago. Never happened. Only one I know is DLR in London, UK, that is only one line and still requires human staff to control those cars at times.

*sip*

they'll become journalists

You’re a fuq’n idiot. First of all the coming very soon depression will put most of you out of work anyway and when things do pick up again...automation will make you obsolete. Denial isn’t going to save your job asshole.

Bull fucking shit. They’ll be electric and fully automated in 5.

Tesla’s definitely burn better than most vehicles, maybe we can use them to stay warm during the next ice age.

HAHAHA! They can't even automate trains, let alone trucks.

“I love it”...LOL! Sure ya do loser.

Larp on American Truck Simulator

>I predicted the rise of the smartphone accurately in 1978

another one of these idiot threads
I make 300k / year trucking as an owner operator, im not worried

So let's say a tire explodes while driving and the truck crushes a car, who will be liable, the owner, the code driving or manufacturer? Id say truckers will be here another 40 years at least.

Trucker fuck your Mom, incel?

Rekt

Depression or not there’s always a need to move things from point A to point B, the only thing that’ll change is the cargo.

dude stop larping. truckers make like 45k a year

Spoken like a greasy smelly truck driver scared about losing his shitty job. LOL!

Lel
Neet education, yall

Say they roll it out within 5 years, imagine the PR nightmare once the self driving truck hits something like a school bus or whatever doesn't really matter, please don't say you think the tech will have a 100% rate of non failure, right after the catastrophe they will be banned from operating setting back the automation and likely bankrupting what ever company did it. I'm telling you quit buying into the commie futurism meme, automation will probably happen eventually but not that fast with all the shit like worrying about laws and liablity of property and wrongful death.

Any idiot can drive in lane down an interstate. Thats not why truckers get paid. It's all the inner city bullshit, docks where no 53' trailer should be, in places no truck should drive. Sure, we drive the same routes.....unless closed due to rain, snow, pileup, construction, fucking bird migration, OP's mom going to the toilet, what have you. Trucks that can drive themselves are only the tip of a very large iceberg of things they have to do to erase the industry of drivers, and easily the least important. To just cross state lines, an automated truck would have to dock itself, load, close up, seal itself, scale itself, adjust its tandems, drive, fuel, fill DEF, unseal, open up, dock again, and unload. Not to mention all the little piddling stupid stuff in between. This job is safe for decades, user.

HA!HA!...ok brainstem. When there is no demand there will be no reason to move it.

Broken into? Bro they dont need to stop except for fuel, and they will do so with far more efficiency than a human. You gonna jump on a 16 wheeler going 65 mph?
Dumbest thing I've read in a long time goddamn

Automation=large unemployment= pissed citizens= revolution
Ergo automation = revolution

take everyone out with them? (to Coldstone, to get ice cream)

Attached: 1475023357469.png (219x230, 62K)

What is a Union.

Have you ever driven a rig? No bosses or annoying coworkers, work when I want, get to travel and get paid for it

You really won me over. Automation is a meme for VC money from Boomers who can't work PowerPoint and technophiles who take CEO statements as fact.

Call me when self driving trucks are actually being sold. Tesla's routinely crash themselves in autopilot mode, the technology is still decades away from being widely adopted.

There will always be a demand for something, so like I said only the cargo will change.

>Stop for fuel
>Run off the road
>Delivery services
Lol! Totally automated in 3 years!!! Machines that run on rail are not being automated, but trucks will be before Trump leaves office!

>Unions
Doesn't mean shit. RLA would get thrown out tomorrow if it was feasible to automate trains.

>revolution
Will never happen. If the citizenry gets uppity, then martial law will just get declared.

Why are ALL female pitbull owners coal burners?

School buses will only need an aide to monitor discipline on the bus. They have a very regular route everyday. Anything with a regular route will be simple to automate. They’ll be the first jobs replaced. You drive from Wally warehouse to stores???? Easily automated. You fucks haven’t a clue what’s coming down the pike. Think of the money saved in subsidizing your healthcare, paying your salaries, dealing with your personal bullshit and time off. Automation will more than pay for itself almost immediately.

I only did that once but that bitch had it coming anyway.

I hear what you're saying, read, but what if you're wrong.

I'm not exactly sure how PR helped the factory workers who lost their jobs to robot arms making cars. Camera and computers are so crazy right now it's not like the technology is getting worse.

>Musk claimed in an interview that teslas will perform better than humans in 2020.
musk does deliver but rarely on schedule

and do you have to have an iq above 115 to be a virgin and post on 4 chan?

They will still been needed in more precise driving for a while. Truck driving has a lot of weird problems that are not very easily automated.

School buses are in no way equivalent. I've done both jobs, school bus and trucking. Driving screaming ingrates to their daily brain melting is a job equivalent to flipping onions patties at your local Amerifat Inc., only without the job security or uplifting clientelle. Comparing that nonsense to trucking is like saying an Eagle Scout is the same as a man who has served multiple tours in Afghanistan as a Marine.

I used to fish professionally and pull my boat all over the United States...loved everything but being on the road all the time, hotels & crappy fast food...gets old real fast. Always wanted to be home & I’m sure it’s the same with 99% of truckers. Oh...you do have a boss moron...most trucks working for companies have GPS & dispatchers to deal with not to mention the mucho stricter mandatory rest periods/logs and shit. Go sell your BS somewhere else.

Interstate driving is one thing, but automating a truck in other situations will be very difficult.

These truckers are gonna have a hard time if they're white and are trying the coding meme..

and yet he isn't an incel like u

Isn't that exactly the point they are unable to automate trains (FYI they run on pre set tracks with known intersections and as few as possible interactions with traffic) so we'll have autonomous driving trucks, in traffic, with a multiple of routes but hey self driving trains those are hard... Sure sure.

what are you trying to say, dummy? I meant that it will be required by law, at least for some time, for drivers to oversee things. I didn't say that the trucks won't be able to drive by themselves.

Hire hacker to adjust their log computer.

>projecting this hard

and onto a leaf, you should be ashamed. have sex

I'm not a truck driver
I gross 300k per year, roughly 75k goes to fuel and the other 225k is for me and my truck, which I live in full time

yea but that operator will be a dumb shitskin, doesnt take a driver to do the job

came to say this
they'll go home and play truck sim

Loading his meth pipe

he said owner

So angry, why does it trigger you that I love it?
>gps
Not on my truck junior, I’m an o/o
>hotels
Clean bed and a shower? Oh the horror
>fast food
Grocery store and 24v appliances, cook my own food
>whaaa I want to be home
My family all dead and friends are useless drug addict drunks, the road is my home.

Grow up kid.

>this
The trains just follow the tracks and stop at the stations, they are much easier to automate. Before automated trucks is a thing trains will be all automated.

>and onto a leaf, you should be ashamed. have sex

don't worry about it i have sex and if ur worried about it ask ur mom

LOL! OK brainstem...you remind me of the fat cashiers at Wally who don’t believe Walmart is going to get rid of their jobs with self checkout. HA!HA!...been to a Wally lately. That shit will be everywhere next year. All those irreplaceable cashier jobs gone I mean fuck...they even have robotic surgery now moron...you really think they need you to steer a truck from point A to point B????? We steer rovers on Mars a hundred million miles away. LOL! You’re disposable and will be disposed of.

and by the way i deduct it all and pay little in taxes, enjoy paying 1/3 of all your coding income to the govt LOL

there's not a whole fuck ton of trains able to travel across unfixed tracks being driven by a worker being paid.

Trains are not everywhere or a major part of the work force.

I know a mechanic. Theyre super computer smart nowadays. A new age driver/mechanic would be interesting. But ill say this, economics is competitive. If the truckers can stay financialy competitive, theyll still have Jobs.

based truckeranon

to think that I fucked a escort prettier than her cheaply 5 years ago, too bad some retard married her and finished her career

Sabatoge robot trucks I guess

>truck drives itself
Okay who watches the goods being transported because if they still need someone behind the wheel, as a just in case, the driving hours will not change. That person would still have to sleep at some point.

we can employ them as refugee-plowing chads

So what would happen if she aggressively sat on someone's face? Asking for a friend.

because they love stupid violent dogs?
