because the bible is a magic book from the creator of the universe, and all the other magic books are wrong. If they had to admit the bible is an absolute mess and isn't anything near what an intelligent designer would give us, they don't have much for their superstitious beliefs to go on. Look at the KJV-onlyists, who think if God knew the KJV bible would become the world's most widely available version, he would have intervened and made sure the translation was correct and corrected if the older manuscript had errors. That actually makes sense, but it wasn't from the creator of the universe and they refuse to admit the KJV has clear mistakes

Most Churches officials who actually KNOW anything about theology will openly tell you the Bible is a compilation of different "divinely inspired" books.
