They will not admit who codified the Bible and will avoid this question like the plague. This isn't half of it.

Why would we do this? Let's say you're right and we aren't Christian. Okay. What would be the point of erecting these great statues of Jesus? Why have all these great paintings of God or Apostles or events in Jesus's life? Why constantly talk about Christ, pray to him, and perform services talking about him? Protties are pissed that the Church has thousands of years of tradition behind it that they shun, but can’t replace. They call it pagan because the Roman/European cultural setting led to a lot of inspiration from existing pagan practices. As if incorporating the traditions of our own people into the new (morally and philosophically better) religion is somehow a bad thing.
