I am convinced these type of people suffer from some kind of cause-and-effect or time-based delusion where they look at what we know NOW regarding an incident and conclude the person should have known THEN...like during the 2 or 3 seconds where life or death for one party potentially hangs in the balance. I suspect the majority of the people who feel this way have never fired or seen a gun fired in real life. They don't understand how little time there is to react if someone pulls a gun. It is almost like they think the officer will enter bullet time, jump out of the way, pull out and aim their gun mid jump and unload before hitting the ground.
You're not wrong here, just realize that it's always the political dissidents that clamor for "free speech" (hippies did it here), but as soon as they're in power, they curtail the free speech of others.
