However once you drop the weight you NEED to reintroduce complex carbs back into your diet. I had a pretty intense training schedule (Muay Thai/MMA) and the meat just wasn't cutting it. I was on it for around 10 months and slumped into a pretty deep depression. My T plummeted (3 nmol/l) and I struggled to build muscle. After I brought carbs back in my diet my hormones rebalanced and I've put on some serious lean muscle. Eat meat, eat eggs, eat veg. Fuck pasta, bread and sugar. But for gods sake eat rice and oats or any other complex carbohydrate source. Go on YouTube and find any ketofag and they all look absolutely emaciated.

I started eating carnivore a year and a half ago. Not strict, but 95% of the time. Mostly beef, cheese, and eggs. Butter of course - glorious on a good steak. Before I started I was at 270, I was pre-diabetic, high blood pressure, joints ached, trouble sleeping. I am down 50 lbs. Blood pressure is normal, pre-diabetes is gone, sleep like a baby, joints are good. I am 6'2, early 50's.
