He is a journalist pandering to a political group that he doesn't like. Why else do you think he goes so hard with the whole thing about leftists despite constantly sucking up to them? Little of what he says regarding "the regressive left" has substance behind it, it is always about how they are always attacking him or how they always repress free speech. But it never goes any deeper than that, which I find concerning considering the fact that he has been in higher education. He unironically considers outlets like Vice and NYT to be credible journalistic sources and will go out of his way to defend them as such. I would say that he is simply a leech from Vice that saw an opportunity to earn more money as a freelancer than with the company.
I like his vids and applaud someone trying to cover actual news from an unbiased opinion, but he does need to get to the point. I generally watch the first half, and then turn it off when he starts wandering and doubling back on the same stuff.
