I know that some cities were giving away cameras based on the notion that you will give them access, but again, by accepting that you agreed to give them access. Honestly, it’s one of those evils which are very helpful. I have a ring door bell and a camera in the drive way. I’ve had numerous people come up to the door and as soon as they see the ring, they go away. I had one guy jimmy the door and try to open it, mind you I was taking a shit and saw him do it, I talked to him through the device and he quickly ran away.
It’s a useful surveillance tool to keep and eye on your house when you’re away. I work night shifts and live alone, so I check it out a few times every night.
As long as you remember that these cameras can be accessed by the alphabet bois and don’t place it inside your home, you’ll be alright.
