The chemical causing the issue is from vaporizing and inhaling vitamin E (yes, "vaporizing" is a scientific term that is NOT the same as "burning"). It's vitamin E acetate. It's found naturally in oils. You won't get away from it by making your own, unless you can find out how it's getting there to begin with (hint: not even the FDA has figured this out yet.. so once you find out, let them know). It could be from specific strains of cannabis, pesticides that may have been used, liquids used to dilute the THC (so, you know, you can mix it with PG/VG in a vape), etc. They simply don't know right now.

Cannabis plant turpines are only oils from the cannabis plant which I'm pretty sure does not have vitamin E in it.

I did that. Made my own nic tanks. Using a VG / PG blend. I did NOT use prebought / prepped stuff. I tend to always find a way to make my own stuff out of the best ingredients I can find.

Just personally did not do well with it so I gave it up. Use organic rollies. But in discussing among friends, my experience was not singular. I realize however that many do not have issues with VG/PG.

For my own part I never, ever buy premade shit. I use Kratom for intractable pain and only buy powder from a vendor that posts batch lab tests. Even then I boil water, pour on my dose and let sit before using. I'm historically careful with what I use. Would never, ever trust capsules bought at a tobac or head shop. Ever. One enterprising company was doping their kratom capsules with Fent because they know heroin addicts will use Kratom to ward off the "sick" until they can get their dope..and adding fent made the heroin users "like" their brand. Yes, they got caught but still.

My personal mantra is get the ingredients and make it myself.

All cannabis terps are is mashed up cannabis plants with all the plant oils extracted. They're expensive too. NO THC. Not sure how cannabis can be legal and not labled a carcinogen in CA (LOL) but the terps are.

Additionally it only takes about 1 mg of terp to dissolve 1 g. of shatter. I get my shatter from people who grow their own organic. (No pesticides).

Also NEEM oil is not good to use on cannabis plants because inhale=bad.

There's a heavy amount of pressure to use it still due to it being the most effective anti-pesticide measure when the plant is still budding, since you don't want to spray plants while the bud is present.

I've been doing 80% PG for years and don't have an issue with it (in fact, I've been considering going to 100% - I like throat hits). The only time I cough is when my coil needs to be changed, wicks are dry, etc (an issue with my build -- I use a rebuildable atomizer so it's often an indicator that I need to make a new coil).
