The US bankrolled the soviets to fight the Germans by providing Food, Trucks, Supplies etc. Without US aid, Soviets wouldve collapsed as they did before the US started aid.

If they were preparing for an "unexpected defense" their troops would have been supplied with "defensive maps" of the interior of their claimed territories. Instead, they had "offensive maps" of the interior of Germany. If they had defensive logistics planned they might not have been pushed all the way back to their capital in an instant and lose an extraordinary amount of troops and armor which they obviously wouldn't have wanted to happen. If they expected to defend instead of attack themselves they would have been supplied as such, instead every last shred of evidence supports the idea that the Russians were planning on invading Germany in short order and were instead caught in a defensive position by surprise.
