The most interesting thing about the spread of Christianity is that most people who were converted by preachers and missionaries did not understand old Greek and Hebrew, did not have access to bibles and had no knowledge to understand context of bible passages. I highly doubt they read to them stuff such as Genesis 19:8 or Genesis 19 as a whole.
