I remember when Sweden joined the EU, we had a trade surplus with most countries, including Germany.

Then we joined and German companies bought up Swedish companies, and then they moved those factories to Germany.

Today we have an annual trade deficit exceeding 20 billion SEK per year, and we pay Another 50 billion SEK per year in so called "fees" or "contributions".

The EU really is a wonderfully designed German plan to take over Europe by using printed euros to buy up assets of more succesful countries, and move them to Germany.

It is a major major monopoly game that Germany was winning from the start because they were the only one realizing it was a monopoly game.

That is basically why the UK is leaving, why many intellectuals in the UK wants to leave. It is hard to communicate this to normal retards, but intelligent people understands what is happening.

Germany is very homogenous compared to Sweden, but that is besides the point. When I say Germans I don't mean Hans and Greta, but the corporations and elite of Germany.

All of those things evolved over time through a lot of conflict until the people consolidated into a structure that works pretty well for them and even then there's problem. The US was very carefully brought about and the people had either a well-shared beginning or a common incentive, plus they had a language and internal rivalry and cultural devision was nothing compared to 2000 years of European infighting. And the population was nowhere near as high as the 500,000,000 people in the EU when the US was first consolidating.

The EU is something created from the top that nobody really wants sold on some promises about economic gain but through very little else anyone cares about. Maybe if it was built slowly up over 200 years it could come together as a united set of states. They've tried to create a super state in 50 years that subverts peoples culture and suprise, there's discontent.

So it’s pretty funny because about 10 years ago I had to write a paper for a macroeconomic class. The subject I chose was why the EU and euro would never replace the US and dollar as the world reserve currency.

Basically my main points were this.
-the European Union has 23 different languages with 27 different countries. They all have separate interests, cultures, history and often were enemy’s for century’s. While they may exist in peace now they very recently killed each other and invaded each other lands, raped their neighbors wives and a few EU states even had communist governments that had governments who were dedicated to exterminating their neighbors if the orders ever came from Moscow.

-America is one nation. One major language even if Spanish is a minority language it’s expected that Spanish speakers know at least enough English to get by. Not a single invasion or threat of direct invasion has not happened for 200 years and all other threats have been foreign and thousands of miles away. We have hundreds of different groups of people who have all largely assimilated together into a single culture, a single history, a single set of common shared interests of American prosperity and global domination of American military might.

The reality is that Europe is literally 200 years too fucking late to create a single nation stare styled democracy for a continent. And they’re 100 years too late to make a major reserve currency.

The EU simply can’t compete because it can’t issue treasury notes because if can’t directly enforce any taxation. So any bonds will have far more risk than American bonds with a single nation and a single federal tax system. Europe doesn’t have a single military to attach to that currency to back it up.
