Today, the Fake News NYT published an article about the EFF getting a bunch of FBI docs declassified through FOIA. the documents reveal the FBI has submitted over 500,000 National Security Letters to over 750 businesses in the US since the Patriot Act passed back in October 2001.
the way it works is every 60 days, the FBI submits an NSL to the corporate counsel at each company. the company's lead attorney is forbidden from telling anyone about the FBI's secret letter, under penalty of being prosecuted under the Espionage Act. what the FBI's NSL demands of the companies is for the companies to hand over all "Tangible Things"--all business records. if you remember back in June 2013, the very first of the Snowden leaks was the FISA order to Verizon demanding all "Tangible Things" like business records of all customers of Verizon. the FISA orders were renewed every 180 days. and it wasn't just Verizon, but it was AT&T and all the big ISPs and telecom providers and big Internet companies like Google and Apple and Microsoft and Facebook--the PRISM Partners.
So now they know just how badly we outnumber and outgun them? And how close to them some of us are? Not that we would ever do anything with that power, outside of minecraft.
Michael Torres
>The US government is an authoritarian despot masquerading as a democratic federal republic Yeah, we knew this already
Bentley Martinez
Doesnt it bother you that you are in a special database that has tags like "gun owner" and "posts on Jow Forums"? Is it enough to already know about this to discard problem?
Jayden Davis
Not him but of course it bothers us. This just confirms what everyone knew. Just like the Snowden leaks. Fuck all will happen tho because 90% of the pop is too busy with their bread and circus.
Isaiah Robinson
it's not a problem as long as humans are in charge. the information will be useful once they are not
Zachary Ross
Does it bother me that the US government has a list of just about everyone within its grasp? Yes, of course it does. Will anything come of this? Fuck no. This shit will be forgotten within a matter of a week and people will move on to the next thing to be outraged about because the papers and talking heads tell their audiences what to think and feel.
Easton Carter
Well, if they have all the letters, now all the FBI's cases get to be re-tried on new evidence because of parallel construction.
I can see it now, "My Client is not a terrorist, prove you didn't use anti-terrorism powers to bypass his 4th amendment rights".
Once that becomes well known, any evidence law enforcement brings into a court becomes suspect and THAT is going to be a madhouse. Unlike China or Botswana, Kill Squads don't work in the US. The hunters will become the hunted with the possibility of a flareup into major industrial outages and socioeconomic tragedy. So you will end up with very skeptical juries and high profile prosecutions won't work to garner political favor.
Leo Smith
The judges are part of the system. The entire FISA process is against the US constitution, judges uphold it anyway. Turning to the system in a bid to change it, has always been a terrible idea. I think what most of you dont understand is that the problem is far bigger than you assume.
There exists a data file of all your private information, everything you ever said, bought or did online. See, these orders even include the handover of audio data from Siri, Google or Amazon, that have been found to be illegally spying on you constantly. This is the point were it becomes more than just a nightmare. Every conversation you ever had while carrying your smartphone around is being recorded.
Justing Trudeau of all people is a perfect case for this. His nigger face pictures existed long before he became prime minister. Only after he disappointed his masters, they decided to use these. These pictures have been sitting with them since they were taken, never to be used as long as the puppet is useful. This is what is going to happen to each one of you, if you want to raise the ranks of the system to change it from within. Just think of your entire Internet history being leaked in some kind of pissgate attempt. All your dildo shopping, your extreme freedom of speech usage, all the shit you have long forgotten about, ready to be used against you.
This is far, far worse than a social credit system, because you dont get browny points for being a good person. You get nothing. You just get shat on for being a bad person, especially when going against the system to change it.
William Jenkins
Why is there only 1 edward snowden then? How come there arent more "traitors" detailing this information? Must I really believe 99.9% of the other people who know this information arent being heard? If theyre even open about it? I would assume snowden could be a pressure relief valve, maintained in the media as a outlet rather than an information inlet. But what he said is so damning we actually still care. So what gives?
Look at your life. It might be shit, but you wouldnt give it up for some leak. You need someone willing to accept being a fugitive the rest of his life, losing everything in the process. Edward did this not knowing the consequences, you on the other hand know that they will make you an outcast. Social pressure as well as certain, tough to overcome security measures will prevent you from falling out of line.
Its much like white men in general. They have been exposed to terrible living conditions because some foreign elites want to get rich by importing cheap labor, consumer and voters, all paid for by the taxes they extort from you. They also socially engineer your women to hate you and all other races to despise you.
Do you see them fighting their fate? Shouldnt they rally and overthrow the elites? No, they will fade into extinction without much rage.
Justin Butler
This is not worse than the social credit system, dont be pedantic.
John Gomez
You must be a total idiot to believe that.
SCS rewards behavior and positively enforced it, openly communicating the rules to every participant.
The SCS the US has implemented punishes behavior that is deemed dangerous to the puppetmasters, without anyone knowing what the rules are.
The one system allows you to come to peace with it eventually, the other one drives you mad.
Leo Wilson
Maybe you should just post “fuck around and find out” in response to everything until they get the point.
Isaac Lee
Yeah ok fag, China good, US bad.
Fuck off.
Blake Johnson
SCS punishes you for things that you would not be touched for in the US. You are a top tier retard. For the things the """US system""" would punish you for, you would be thrown in jail and have your organs removed in china.
Cooper Mitchell
China is equally shit, you retard. Stop trying to excuse the US governemnt doing this shit with
>but China does the same or worse
This idiotic argument has become so common in the minds of US citizens, they accept any government overreach as long as there is another nation that has a similar fucked system. Seems to be genetic.
Luke Kelly
>China is equally shit, you retard. PFFFTTTHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
Aiden Perry
You havent understand anything, you idiot. The SCS tries to enforce social conformity, while the US system prevents a change of the globalist agenda of your puppet masters.
Easton Evans
>China is equally shit, What a profoundly ignorant statement.
>You havent understand anything Chinese shill confirmed.
Henry Powell
A SCS is absolutely unacceptable because even if it would be only used to reward positive behavior (which it isn't) it can be misused momentarily. To trust any government with that much detailed information about your life is fatal - more so when the government is an authoritarian dictatorship.
Isaac Richardson
someone drop some more redpills

I am starting to think all these anti American threads are started by foreigners trying to sew discontent in American institutions.

>Why is there only 1 edward snowden then There wasn't, there were two other guys before him that everyone forgets about because it wasn't pumped up by the media. He was a distraction from Obama's DOJ abusing the press. Snowden broke the day after the AP started to admit that Holder was pressuring journalists on what they could report. Dont forget Snowden 'washed out' of the CIA.
Landon Hughes
Fuck off to pol idiot
Kevin Allen
Pols driving force is predominantly left wing activists and feds, trying to radicalize the right to violence so you lose rights and hasten a police state.
Blake Lewis
They dont even hide it, they call it accelerationism.
Pure faggotry.
Ethan Martinez
They are. Every three days or so there is da joos spam posts rotating on at least Jow Forums, /tv/, /asp/, /ck/, and /lit/ - that is one loser australian guy. Not sure yet if he is shareblue or just an asshole. There used to be a liberal woman spamming 'hate da joos cuz circumcision' regularly. Obviously we know Shareblue is here, they hire poor people from india, eastern europe, and south east asia to agitate violence and division here and push leftist politics on /b/.
Josiah Watson
Personally, I think the "Masters" are not in as much control as they'd like to have, and all it'd take is one or two people creating an epic shitstorm to cause considerably damage. Blackmail doesn't work as well as you might think, there's a reason the 2nd amendment has persisted thus far and will continue to persist.
Judges and Cops REALLY REALLY understand the concept of checks and balances; it's what provides them with generally reasonable employment. The concept of doing away with jury trials and using secret courts is at the end of the day, about as idealistic as an 18 year old thinking Justin Beiber will marry her if she looks into his eyes once in person; it's the wet dream of a really twisted person. It won't just not work, it'll fail spectacularly, and there are things in place, like state courts, that might pull something out like Illinois putting the original founding date on their birth certificates and therefor stating the federal government cannot tax it's sovereign citizens under the 14th.
What it boils down to is, there's crimes against the people, and crimes against the state. In the former, a jury trial is the way you settle it; civil Mob rule has worked well. In the ladder, you charge the mofo with a crime, the local jury has to convict them, then they face a grand federal jury; 2 Jury Trials with the locals being able to Veto the federal government.
Jason Rodriguez
I love seeing Chinese shills and glow niggers duke it out on my favorite board.
Eli Anderson
>that is one loser australian guy. Not sure yet if he is shareblue or just an asshole. Considering he's Australian I'd bet money it's the latter.
>"My Client is not a terrorist, prove you didn't use anti-terrorism powers to bypass his 4th amendment rights". Every court will rule that LEOs acted "in good faith" and the evidence gathered was legal. The courts do not give a damn about the accused unless the accused is one of them.
Elijah Cooper
I didn't find PSA in any of the 4 PDFs, but considering they've sent these NSLs to every damn financial company in the country, all they have to do is look at your credit card or bank statement to know that you've made firearm related purchases online.
>courts do not give a damn about the accused This guy is 100% right.
Jaxson Young

At this point what would you accomplish? It's been 7 years since Snowden and look what happened. Nothing. And nothing is going to change, not for the better anyways.
Jace Long
Direct links didn't work for me either. Here's the page where you can click thru and download each PDF:
No wonder your country is a corrupt hellhole, they have information to blackmail and suppress every reformer, whistle-blower, and upstart imaginable.
Luke Green
Just look at what happened with that Epstein stuff. People were outraged by his Clinton and Trump connections (among others) and then he """""kills himself"""""" in a place where no other inmate ever has. Also, the guards were asleep and the cameras malfunctioned. What an insane coincidence!
Nobody bought this shit. NOBODY. Everyone, regardless of their political view, knew Epstein had been murdered to keep him from talking and to keep any more sensitive info from being revealed due to the legal investigation.
So what happened? Nothing. Almost everyone forgot all about it within several days. That's America.
You're one of the idiots believing hearsay, living in ignorance and making Epstein into a martyr and a victim rather than a dead pedo.
Then you mistake it for being "woke"
Anthony Richardson
>Thinking he is actually dead
Charles Smith
Is there actually a chance that things might change if a not totally establishment dem wins next year like Sanders, Warren or Yang?
Dylan Gray
>He thinks Sanders or Yang have any chance of ever becoming president
>He thinks anyone "not totally establishment" ever becomes president
Trump was hailed as being the ultimate outsider and he was pretty much immediately neutered as soon as he took the oath of office.
When are people going to realize whoever is president matters far less than most people think?
Liam Thomas
Pol is that away shit for brains >>>>>>>
Xavier Nelson
You're the fag not realizing his death ends court case. He's tied to world elite sex trafficking. Him being dead isn't good for us you fucking dolt. Now we can never get further leads or information that could counter other claims made by suspects in the case. Pedo dead = good Sure yeah but Elite power broker pedo dead = no power broker level information AKA bad
Isaac Flores
You mean the socialist cuckold, the socialist gun grabber, or the dude being pushed through as a trump alternative? Do you seriously think that getting some screened and controlled shit lord into office will help anything? The last time an actual president was elected and tried to change things he was shot in daley plaza next to his wife in front of the whole country. Free masons and the mafia / CIA sent a message to the world, only like a week after Kennedy out right told the country that there are secret societies trying to destroy our country.
Bentley Rivera
>30 SWAT feds outgunned by a guy with an AR under his bed who doesn't even know what's about to happen
There is no We, lmao You think your neighbors are going to sound the dog whistle and start mowing down federal agents to protect your property?
The first guy won't know. The second probably won't know. But number 10 might. Number 25 will know, and from then on it's going to cost a lot of lives.
Noah Gutierrez
There is no chance of anything getting better in your lifetime. Every day you wake up you will be less free than the day before and there is nothing any of us can do. The only people who can aren't burdened by the system because they're in charge.
Connor Anderson
>Number 25 will know, and from then on it's going to cost a lot of lives. You could add 5 zeros and still be wrong. Nobody loans you their fucking lawn mower these days, they definitely aren't gonna take a bullet for you.
Christopher Collins
keep an ar10 loaded with surplus m2 black tip next to your bed. reinforced doors, bars over your windows. you might stand a chance.
Brody Bell
Ah yes, a chain of guys who saw the guy before them die alone with no help and for no gain
It's like you forgot federal agents already murdered 76 people with fire over guns and literally nothing happened except for one (1) guy blowing up some kids for revenge
Sebastian Miller
>cops get bored 11 hours in and just burn your house down
How many times does this have to happen before you learn
Henry Morgan
they have to get close to your house to burn it down.
1) drones can be shot down with ease 2) no local, state, or federal law enforcement agency is going to have a flamethrower drone on hand
Justin Jackson
>What are you going to do when they confront you with your loli fetish of 15 years ago? You will comply. Shows what you know. I no longer have any shame. I just want those people who think themselves my masters hung from a lamppost.
> under penalty of the Espionage Act [of 1917] God how the fuck is that still on the books? The only reason we passed it back back then was to shut up people speaking out against the draft in WW1.
> Be Walther Schnek > Publish leaflets protesting conscription as involuntary servitude > Get charged with a felony and convicted under the Espionage Act
> be Eugene Debs > give public speech against conscription > get another felony conviction, this one for 10 years
> Supreme Court upholds both convictions > Says questioning conscription is the famous exception to 1st amendprotections because it's like "Shouting 'Fire!' in a crowded theater.'"

>500,000 National Security Letters to over 750 businesses in the US since the Patriot Act passed back in October 2001. There were 137 million applications to background checks in the same period.
That means FBI is interested in backgrounds of 0.3% of gun owners, that sounds like a perfectly reasonable law enforcement operation. If you think 0.3% of any group isn't going to be a problem, you're delusional.
Levi Cox
Iranian terror groups have openly declared war on the USA and have a history of hitting civilian targets. But surely the fbi is looking for autistic edgelords to spy on in this data. Get fucked shill.
