Born 1981 here. It hurts remembering how much better life could be.

>hair metal The only people I've met who are unironically into that absolute pile of homosexual, ugly sounding shit are either middle age balding dudes clinging to their cool kid status, or 20 something girls with aspergers.

I was laughing the other day about $800 VCRs and being charged $90 by the "video store" if you didn't return a tape. Also "Be kind, rewind"
Carson Jackson
what's meme from?

Anyone remember cigarette vending machines, vhs tapes getting worn down and unwatchable on the nude scenes, or bushes in playboy?
Luis Bennett
Born in 86. Nearly all of that shit was in the 90s, too.
Got my first game system in 1987. Not sure what edition, but got my first Atari. Thanks grandma! Still have that old thing, along with 40 to 50 game cartridges. Missing the power cord.
the 1980's were the last great decade in America. everything got kiked up and niggerfied after 1990. im glad i have memories of the 80's because everything has been taken from us.
90s baby here but I envy your generation. Growing up in the 80s and being an adult in the 90s must have been bliss. Everyone seemed friendlier and it was a simpler time back then. Everyone wasn't glued to their phones and you could actually approach and talk to random women without getting me too'd. You're treated like a human being instead of just a pixelated image on a smartphone that you get swiped on.
i was a kid in the neighborhood and a vandal, esp on halloween. we tp'd everything, silly string'd everything, pinned the shaving cream and shaving cream'd everything. we smashed pumpkins and anything else that was around. we were 12 years old.
Juan Peterson
i rode my bike two miles each way to the next town to get a $1 lemonade slurpee. then i rode back. i bought it with summer job money. i was a camp counselor.

We had to watch the movie Threads in school. Look it up, a realistic depiction of nuclear war. I remember, in the back of everyone's mind was a nuclear war with Russia. Sucked, desu
But at least we had Nena and MTV and 99luftbalons
Isaiah Russell

This one released enough jizz to float a battleship.
faggot, mongoose was for the rich kids Come over to my dude of the tracks and we would beat your ass for that mongoose. Not a nigger, just white trash and proud of it
Adrian Parker
never played that shit and never will you fucking nigger
Our local video store would charge you a small fee for failing to rewind. I don't remember if the chain stores like Blockbuster or The Wherehouse charged money for not rewinding. It seems like there is nothing magical anymore, I have no idea how to describe it in objective terms but it's a feeling. Maybe it is a normal part of being an adult.
Ayden Hernandez
this, 70's was a happening decade 80's was the beginning of the end, and once the 70's buzz had worn off it felt like it
Driving around with friends, smoking weed, listening to zeppelin or rush, making out with girls. No niggers in our town, plenty of summer jobs, cassette tapes, beer out of cans with pull off tabs, McDonald fries made in lard. You faggots have no idea how sweet life was in the Midwest in the eighties.
Jackson Scott
This. 16 in 1980 when I saw Blue Oyster Cult open for Black Sabbath. Got to see Deep Purple reunion tour in '85, Jimmy Page solo tour in '88. I'm not one for novelty T-shirts but I had to buy the one that says "I might be old but I saw all the cool bands". Hair metal sucked the fucking rag.

Living in a White suburban utopia. Surrounded by my White friends, playing soccer, playing outside until it got dark. Getting an original NES on my 6th birthday. Swimming in an all White pool every summer. Goddam, the 80s in South Carolina were fucking heaven.
Juan Baker
My decade of childhood was the greatest decade of childhood. Every decade after has been the downfall.
Josiah Young
Technically I'm at the tail end of generation X, sweetie.
Alexander Hill
alla that. Cigarettes were 48 cents + 2 cents tax at the gas station but 65 cents in the machine.
Every one else had a boombox. It was the thing...for awhile. Then nice smaller boxes came out as speakers got better. Even cool was a double cassette tape recorder. Making your own bootleg shitty background hiss tapes. Recordings off the radiostations. Rock heavy metal pickings
I went back and watched this. Still as magical as ever.
Xavier Lopez
Bro do you remember those water tanks they had at burger king and stuff where youd drop pennies in or ring and try to have them land/scoot on a little platform or hoop them?
John Scott
>the gonz That fucking spic is rotting in prison, where he belongs.

Or women, or transwomen. Hair metal appealed to a mostly-female demographic, particularly the LA glam-style metal. >t. tranny, still loves hair metal
That aside... >the birth of cassettes >recording cassettes from the radio >what is boy george? >eurotrash invasion >all the good cartoons (including all the girl cartoons I watched so much) >cabbage patch kids - c'mon, you didn't live if you didn't know these >the coreys >1984 commercial >the death of texas instruments in computers (sears literally giving away TI99/4A computers if you did it just right) >sam elliot, holy shit >TOP GUN! >original red dawn with an all-star cast >nuclear drills in school >the fall of the berlin wall I could go on forever. >t. 1975
Christian Brown
The neverending story. Can't post images. Fuck jannies.
Still miss 8-tracks and my dad's cutlass. Used to take me swimming down at the local crick, jamming to Peaceful Easy feeling in the summer of 80. 5 years old, and knew all the lyrics lol.

This is Jesse Mach an ex motorcycle cop injured in the line of duty. Now a police troubleshooter he's been recruited for a top secret government mission to ride Streethawk an all terrain attack motorcycle designed to fight urban crime. Capable of incredible speeds up to three hundred miles an hour, and immense firepower. Only one man federal agent Norman Tuttle knows Jesse Mach's true identity. The man The machine STREETHAWK
A whole fugging fleet of TRS-80's in that just one classroom that we visited on classperiods. Big fugging whoop. Computers gonna change the world whoohooo wow we the future! But it was just a box that showed green text and no graffics. No internet no cross connection for us students. The hottest thing i every saw on it was the snake game (don't cross your own snakebody or gameover) and then later Oregon Trail.
