Should I get a less cantilever scope mount?

Does anyone know if the PSG2's bolt head fits in a G3 clone? Would there be any special considerations for the bolt gap? What about its trigger pack?

is a gen 1 chevy avalanche 4x4 a Jow Forums approved vehicle?

Attached: poverty.jpg (1992x1328, 3.54M)

for our senior graduations party my friend filled his Avalanches bed to the top with ice and beer. No idea how the shocks didnt break. Good car.

Nice. Prices on them are coming way down, found a good one out of all the rusted out shit-heaps from the rust belt.

Welded rail or rail mount?

Assuming you're talking about G3 pattern rifles...
I'd say welded rail
If you get a claw mount with a rail on top it'll be stupidly high over the bore with no real benefit.

I cant decide if I should buy more magazine for my Scar. I ordered 3 extra so I'll have 4 total when the Scar ships. The mags are so plentiful right now that I don't really feel a rush to get any but everthing I'm reading makes its sound like that is unusual. What's the longevity on them?

You can never have enough magazines.
Though I've heard that as a general guideline you should try to have 20 mags minimum for a rifle.
Theyre an update of the FAL magazine and made of an steel, so they should hold up pretty well.

20 is pretty excessive, especially for a rifle like a scar. I’d say 10 is a good number. Have a couple you use for regular range day use, then keep the rest as spares.

I have like 30 ak mags and never take more than 2-3, usually the same ones, with me

That depends on how you use them, I've seen this said more by people who shoot alot.
If you don't shoot much, yeah, 10 is good, you'll likely only ever load up or have loaded up 7 or 8 for the extremely unlikely event you'll be using your rifle in some form of combat bit really it's more about having plenty spares in case of a ban so you can continue to train while having a "combat load" worth.
We all have our number where we feel comfortable.
Personally I'd really like to have a wooden crate packed with good mags for every rifle I own if could afford it.
YMMV

All of the steel surfaces that weren't gold plated should've been finished in a high polish blue.

don die. you're so young

Im curious about this as well.

Damn, I want some saudi furniture...

Whos the good boy?

I dunno, it was a photo from the last bread...lol literally posted it to try and summon the nigga with two Saudi parts kits.

Is it true that caliber size is directly correlated to penis size?

youtube.com/watch?v=QX1SojKfgNI

So now that I've got my FAL I've become interested in PTRs/G3s/whatever the fuck they're called. What would be a good one to start with for someone who knows literally nothing about them?

Attached: The Gun Pile v5.jpg (2076x3024, 998K)

Probably a PTR, Cetme's are cheaper and HK 91's cost as much as a Scar

Nice collection btw, is that a DSA?

Attached: eebeearr.png (1280x720, 746K)

Yeah it's a DSA. I got whatever they call their fancy $1750 version that comes with a bipod. Works reasonably fine, although I was retarded and managed to get the gas block stuck open for the better part of my first range trip with it.

As far as PTRs and CETMEs, is Century shit like it is everywhere else? What would be my best option that's not retardedly expensive?

Attached: FAL with 30 rounder.jpg (720x960, 46K)

I need an FAL, hoping to get one built eventually.

Fuck Century but Cetme's were something like $400 last summer with a rebate or some shit.

I've been happy with my PTR though but would like a chf polygonal barrel. /brg/'s become a PTR circlejerk but they're decent rifles.

>Fuck Century but Cetme's were something like $400 last summer with a rebate or some shit.

It was because they built a fuck ton of them because everyone thought Hillary was gonna get in and they needed to cut their losses.

Best sights or optics for a short range, heavy power rifle meant for big scary things like bears or skinwalkers?

Attached: c73f117a23bfe93727b0a189c66a8a07.jpg (1334x2000, 569K)

that makes sense. i almost got one but walked out with a block 19 rtf2 instead
Elcan Specter Dr. What's your budget?

You guys ever go on a vacation with your girl or your family to some sunny, sandy beach and think to yourself "man, I would way rather be creeping through a rainy forest slitting dudes throats"?

Attached: 1507238959757.jpg (700x550, 112K)

What type are you looking to get? DSA takes a while to build theirs, but they seem to have the best aftermarket support for any FAL variant out there if that means anything to you.

Attached: FAL.jpg (2048x1536, 340K)

Poltgoynal rifling is a meme, but if you want a hammer forged and nitrided barrel for your PTR you can get them at HKparts, they are made by RCM on hammer forged blanks that he hasn't disclosed the source of.
They have HK spec chambers with the 12 deep cut flutes.

Attached: 739b186db45f6823aaa313b7b06a991a--pinterest-board-the-edge.jpg (236x332, 22K)

No idea really, I do need to learn a lot more about them but I've got a class ii buddy that could build one for me. I assume he could manufacture a receiver from a demilled FN but not certain about that

$500-1000

Why are battle rifles the most alpha firearms?

All the time...

Attached: 1310672480116.gif (600x600, 48K)

That was a great movie.

Boys in the hood.

Attached: 50584697.jpg (1024x683, 404K)

Forgot HKparts had those. Seems like a good replacement for the Green Mountain.

I really like the red dot / 3x mag combo, real fucking nato deserves more magnification but I got a killer deal on both.

Nice dubs

I have one of the RCM barrels, I'm going to break in my PTR and shoot it a bit, at least 500 rounds, to make sure there's nothing wrong with the bolt or trunnion and then I'll send it out to have the barrel swapped.

Are cetme rifles from century really that awful? I can forgive the furniture since I would just replace it with wood furniture from surplus, but is there anything else that's bad about them? I want a cheap battle rifle, dammit.

I have roughly $2,500

>buy an AUG and trick it out
Or
>save up a little more and be able to buy a barebones Scar 17S

I don’t know what to do

How much are you budgeting for glass?

For the AUG: whatever I can

For the Scar: nothing cause I don’t have the money yet

I'm noticing a trend. CETME's got a lot of hate from people who never owned them. People spouted off what they heard online. Now people are buying them and finding out that it's not that bad. It could be unrelated, but lately the hate is shifting towards AR10's, again from people who don't own them but hear stuff online. I'm even seeing SCAR's catch some flak. Are we just determined to hate anything that isn't ours?

I vote Scar. AUG's are aesthetic but their triggers are shit.
I thought Cetme's only get hate because of the Century name attached to them and Scar's only got hate because they're overpriced and recently (((FN))) inflated prices to make them even more expensive.

Buy the AUG.

So Brownells posted a video a few weeks back showing a test firing of a BRN-10 prototype. He describes some changes that will be made for the upcoming production version, notably the FSB that everybody has been bitching about.

Scar

Saudi parts guy, pls repond.

Attached: 1527089367422.jpg (600x800, 62K)

hi

Is there anything actually wrong with them? I know the few Century FALs I've seen just felt like pieces of shit and Century tends to have a very bad reputation, but the Century CETMEs don't seem to have anything noticeably wrong with them at a glance. What makes them different from a PTR?

If its you are you willing to part with that second kit you have?

Very nice. I appreciate this post.

>Is there anything actually wrong with them?
>What makes them different from a PTR?

The older CETMEs were made entirely from surplus parts cobbled together from different rifles. The problem with doing that is that these parts didn't wear together which may cause issues. Also, Century's QC only compounds the problem.

Well I am parting with this guy here to get into the Real Fucking NATO game. I have some questions for you. Would stocking up on that DAG Training ammo be a sound idea? Also I can't decide between either a DSA FAL or a PTR91 GI (no rail). Which one would be better for using that DAG stuff? I know I can turn the gas system off on the FAL and basically turn the rifle into a straight pull or could get one of those UB Training bolts for the PTR?

Finally how are the KCI mags for the FAL?

Attached: Muh 'M4'.jpg (3552x2000, 1.11M)

I asked in the last thread about buying Scar mags from Bownells. Whoever gave me the good review. I appreciate it. Fast shipping and everthing. Supposed to tale 7 days got here in 4. I just oreded 3 more mags.

What's a good 3x red dot optic? all the ones I've looked at are rated for 556

>century arms

youtu.be/rhDv2gbZW8g

That was a just a squib though wasn't it?
There's a vid somewhere where one was doubletapping but it might have been a ptr

Is that a fucking koala in the back?

looks like a tanooki

Has anyone worked with Shuff's? I'm thinking about sending my M1 in to get converted to .308.

>KCI mags for the FAL
Absolute garbage. I took a risk and ordered four of them from gun broker. The seller listed them without giving the name but their fit is totally out of spec, you have to file it to even rock it in and then they don't feed. Stay away.

Actually i probably should part with this one. All my tooling is at home and i should fund other projects instead of spending the money to do this one....
Burner email or messaging app?

Fuck idk if i really want to sell it tho...

is that a century?
a cetme?
a PTR?

century c308. couldn't find the youtube vid but it's from the late boy scouts channel

I think that these scopes are good value for DMRs:

mostly targeting shooting for shit and giggles at any where from 50-300 yards with possibility of using it for for a deer or hog hunting if need be. I'm not the biggest Hunter only been a few times but id like the option if possible.

I mean if it works fine then no unless you give a shit about how it looks

Either of the scopes I linked will do you right. There is also a 1.25-4x Leupold VXR Patrol that is decent if you're not pushing out too far.

amazon.com/Leupold-113769-FireDot-Illuminated-Technology/dp/B00564TY98

PTR-91. Original HKs aren't any better and sit around SCAR prices.

I'll check them out thanks.

>going to shoot my first deer with ever with an AR10 this year
I am hype. God I hope I don't miss like a faggot. Range only goes out 50 yards so I have no godamn idea if I'm really properly zeroed.

I load my own nowadays when I'm going for groups but I've had good experiences out of an AR10 with that SMK match.

>What up
The parts kit is what is up

>Idk
Nigga, then why did you mention you have two kits then?

>Actually i probably should part with this one.
Yes, I have hard earned American shekels to give in exchange, name a price.

Sweet, added it to the cart. Thanks!

I'll give you whatever he's offering plus one shekel

5.56 is better for tactical shooting.

Finally got a new optic for my SCAR.

Attached: 20180525_144856.jpg (2560x1440, 1.05M)

i bought some thermold and promags for range time. the thermolds are dogshit but the promags actually seem really solid so far. just take a rough slap to seat them. I'd buy more FN mags but they really aren't as tough as they should be for $40 a pop. I think I'm going to stock up on half promag and half FN.
nice, I'm saving up for an acog as well

5.56 is for people with small peens
