Ausfag feels

Aussie gun laws are shit and now Indonesia can invade. How do I move to the US and where do I move to? Paul Harrell is in East Oregon, IIRC; should I move there? I also hear South Texas is similar to the Outback.

>Texas is similar to outback

>Oregon gun laws are pretty based in the grand scheme of things, more so than Washington

If you don't have a job in the US though good luck moving. See if you can fin an employer to give you a work visa and move on to permanent residence from there. Then wait 10 years or so and become a citizen.

Mind you though that you actually have to be a productive member of society if you want to get in and that it will be way harder for you to get guns as a permanent resident than as a citizen. IDK if visa holders can even get guns.

Awesome, I'll check both out, then!

>If you don't have a job in the US though good luck moving. See if you can fin an employer to give you a work visa and move on to permanent residence from there. Then wait 10 years or so and become a citizen.

I have experience is a fairly specialized field and know that my current employer would help me find a job in the States if I asked.

>IDK if visa holders can even get guns.

To purchase a firearms license as an alien I'd need to first have a hunting license. There's hunter-ed.com, I could take the online test, then do a field day in Oregon or Texas after arriving.

what's the story with the OP?

also, if you're only concerned with firearms laws just stay away from NY, PA, MA, RI, CT, CA, HI, CO and avoid major metro areas. you'll be comfortable in the southwest, try the pacific northwest or north-northeast if you want to find out what rain and snow are like.

oh, forgot to say avoid NJ and MD, too

I'm note sure what he did, but it looks like it's related to his full auto Type 58 in the video. Either that, or drug possession.

I go back and forth; Texas sounds like it would be most similar to Australia in climate, though is pretty diverse in itself, but I'd also like the experience of living in the Northwest with rain, mountains, and conifers. I may try to visit as a tourist this summer if I can get away from work and look at communities and real estate outside Portland, OR and San Antonio, TX.

Thanks for the help!

Get a gun Licence buy a bolt gun and stop dreaming about moving to the US.

In what way are your laws better than ours, hipster

I plan to in the interm, at least until those are taken away from us, too.
>gunworld.com.au/remington-700-cdl-sf-223-rem

Idaho is also very good. Be warned though, both OR and ID have very rough winters compared to Australia. Temperatures of -23 C aren't unheard of in December

>rem shit

Get a tikka

Come to northwestern Oregon. I could use a qt ausfag to shoot with

I'll gay marry you if you'll be my sugar daddy.

I live in WA, it's Oregon but better.

You can't just "move to the US" if you're white. You need to either marry a citizen, have close family already in the US, or get a work visa for an in-demand skill.

I don't care about people from other countries. I hope you die.

Right now Texas is pretty awesome. Lot's of business opportunities and expansion. But it will probably be antigun in 10-20 years time (when I expect I'll leave my homestate ;_;) Fuck progress, but a gun loving aussie is better than some gun hating calfags.

not him bot having lived in both states as of right now Oregon is sliughtly better than Washington when it comes to the gun laws.

Oregon has FA and no universal checks/ shitty undefined 0 compliance transfer laws.
any other laws are the same between the two states (mag caps-none, feature bans-none. sbr sbs ban-none). Both states are very close, but because you can have FA and no UBC (yet) in Oregon, Oregon wins.

PA has decent gun laws user
>no magazine limits
>no wait time for pistol
>add any accessories to rifle
>castle law
So wuts si bad about it?
Just stay away from Philadelphia

An old mate moved to Vancouver, BC a few years back and has told me stories about the winters up there. I think I could handle it, it would just be a stretch.

I'll consider these offers... sounds like romance is the way to go.

>You need to either marry a citizen,

I've thought about that. Jow Forumsommando boyfriend is an option, or meeting a fat lesbian that I could be a beard for.

>or get a work visa for an in-demand skill.

I'm a technician for a specialized 3D printer. I don't know how in demand the US would consider that; marriage may be my brightest option. I know I could land a job in Portland or San Antonio working with said technology if I wanted to, though; I'm thinking that would be a green card, though.

Thanks, mate. Best wishes to you, too.

>Right now Texas is pretty awesome. Lot's of business opportunities and expansion.

There's certainly a lot of jobs that have opened up there! That's one of the biggest draws to Texas for me, along with the familiar climate.

>But it will probably be antigun in 10-20 years time (when I expect I'll leave my homestate ;_;)

I hear stories of that transition all the time, unfortunately. The next generation won't be nearly as pro-gun as the boomers or gen x.

Thanks for sharing! I'll strongly consider it.

I haven't really looked at the East Coast; I may give that consideration. From what I've seen on Google Maps, the bush is a lot more dense there, though, and I do like more open spaces. Not a huge deal, though.

Move you WA. We have Universal Background Checks, but other than that we have
>Easily acquireable CCW licenses
>No-license-required open carry
>Thriving and healthy gun culture East of the Cascades
>No gun restrictions I know of outside of regular NFA laws
>Tons of beautiful rainforests, coastlines, mountain ranges and deserts
>Plenty of good hunting, we even have a deer and bear overpopulation problem

Just be ready to be buttfucked on every political decision the state makes by the overwhelming majority of Seattle’s hyperprogressives and socialists. Good thing is, we have a Republican legislature that’s willing to shoot down shit gun laws, such as the recent proposed AWB and Magazine Capacity Limit.

As long as it's not the T1X

It sounds very attractive to me! Much less restrictive than here, for sure. I enjoy hiking and backcountry backpacking, so being nearby Olympia Nat'l Park, Rainier, and even Hood in Oregon sounds quite pleasant!

What about a gun-loving Califag?

Found OP's video for anybody interested:

in MD rn, how are AZ's gun laws
was where I was born, we moved here because of dad's job and then got stuck here because we ran outta money
currently in a row house

Sorry to hear your family's down on their luck, mate. Particularly if you're able-bodied, have you scrounged around for a job around you? If you look for carpentry/plumbing/electrician internships, you may be able to make a decent living for yourself and being able to move to Arizona.

As far as their gun laws, from an Aussie perspective, they look very lenient and comfy.

>Oregon is better than Washington
>completely ignores Petition 43

Even we're not that cucked to introduce shit like that.

You have UBCs

>wait 10 years
You only need 5

OP don't move to Oregon. I lived there for 20 years before moving back to Washington. It sucks. The state is extremely poor and get afford basic services like fixing roads. Property taxes are insane as well.

They also have an incoming initiative to ban common rifles with certain features. That shit WILL pass.

Oregon adopted UBC's a couple years after Washington did, retard.

Washington does have a pistol registry, SBS ban, and MG ban though, which makes it double gay living here on top of the endless expanse of nothing to do that is the eastern half of the state.

Stay the fuck out of Nevada. Were full. Trumps wall is going on the wrong border.

>Indonesia being able to support an amphibious landing of sufficient size against an experienced, technologically superior and professional army like the ADF.

I doubt you'd even have to stop shitposting while it happened. Do they land in Darwin? Right next to the base? or the middle of nowhere? Then what? Bring enough supplies to move an army across 1000's of km of desert to something of actual value. Then what? Fight a series of engagments around farms and mines in the bush until you're pushed into the sea by a gollirion US Marines. I don't think you need to worry about it.

>No gun restrictions I know of outside of regular NFA laws
No SBS, MG's, DD's, and up until recently you couldn't Form 1 an SBR because the people who write our laws are mouth breathing retards. You also could own a silencer but not mount it on a gun within the state for a decade or so before they fixed that law.

$50 CPL's with no required classes that you get 3 days after applying are pretty sweet though, and everyone carries guns in the woods. I had 2 Canadians come up to me all concerned this weekend because they encountered a guy hiking with an AR. It was cute. I told them he really should have at least an AK in case he encountered a bear.

RIP Oregon. That bitch is the worst thing to happen to that state in my living memory.

Henderson NV is so nice tho.

Yea, she somehow turned out to be worse than Kitzhaber.

Her and Kitzhaber should have been jailed for how she got into office. That was a shitty move that should have had anyone who legitimately cares about representative democracy in the streets.

The thing is that had Kitzhaber actually stayed in office then there would've been a good chance a competent Republican might have been able to take back the Governor's office.

But hopefully with the fact that Dems are basically ignoring the PERS crisis that we'll be able to force them out.

Put a video up on YouTube of him firing his modded SKS full auto into a pond.

Type 63, not SKS.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_63_assault_rifle
>Several thousand of these rifles, with welded semi-auto-only selectors, were imported as surplus into Australia and sold to the public in the late 1980s. It was shown that the guns could be converted back to select fire, although one required a reasonable knowledge, metalworking skill, and access to the right machinery. Customs made an attempt to recover them, but an unknown number were unrecovered.

Whats wrong with PA gun laws?
