Post Rifles that aren't ARs. (Or AKs.)
Not an AR
This is just a thinly veiled Mini 14 thread, isn't it?
The SVT is fucking loud, its an early 6 port brake model
Also fuck me sorry for posting a retardedly huge image
Do you have one of these? How is it? I've been looking at picking one up because I can't stop myself from being a contrarian and buying weird shit.

Man I know people hate the different shades of FDE, but that looks sweet. What optic is that?
Still waiting for the horse cops to let us buy the damn SCAR, I'd rather spend money on one than get something like an SG 542 for a .308
How much was the svt btw? Saw one at my lgs for $1800 and was kinda interested
In canuckland they run for about 600-800 Trudeaubucks. I traded a GSG STG44-22 and $100 bucks for the SVT and the SKS, so it cost me about $700 for both guns early last year.
Don't think I would pay $1800 for it to be honest, cool gun but I haven't ever shot it since the first time I took it out, corrosive surplus ammo means you have to clean it, and it was a bit of a bitch to put back together (mainly the whole trigger guard/assembly)
Trigger needs updated.
..... a SVT is 1800 bucks in burgerland? They are like 400 bucks here in yurop.
What the hell.
High demand at one point because 7.62x54R was cheap.
Well Jersey. It's basically a noguns state. That restricts almost everything and charges a buttload for guns and transfers.

Russian sanctions and Chinese import bans make them rarer. If I had a boat I might be tempted to sail up north and barter SVTs and M305s for ARs and AKs.
Import laws are shit in the US
There's really nothing stopping SVT-40s from coming in other than there not really being that many of them.
Here are some auction prices from Binland.
