I obviously don’t carry one but a couple thoughts on it: I don’t like loops that trap fingers. I used to think push daggers were bullshit. Many are but a well designed one can do some serious fucking work and I’ve changed my mind about them.
The big BUT here is I still want a blade where I can choose the direction of my grip and you kinda give up some of that flexibility when you go away from a traditional blade. You never know what kind of room you will have or what position you will be in during a fight so as always it’s nice to have options.

Exactly this, I carry spray if a bigger dog grabs my lil shitzu. Also, I can think of a thousand encounters where OC is better than a gun, drunk people, a group of 10 year olds causing a ruccus, breaking up a fight, etc.
This happened to me, I was coming out of a pet store and about 10 young teenage nigglets where jumping 2 sand nigglets and eventually their little gay softcore porno scene shoot ended up behind my car and I couldn't reverse, by the time I got out of my car one of the sand nigglets ended up on my bumper that's when I sprayed the fuck out of all of them till they scattered.

Dog OC spray is literally weak people spray that gets EPA tested (like bear spray does). It’s not usually anything more than that. Non OC dog sprays are a different animal.
I don’t specifically carry spray when I walk my dogs. I love dogs but if for some reason my little guy was attacked I would not hesitate to shoot IF I had to.

Make sure it is a “gen 2” version. The gen 1 has a sear/main spring housing problem that causes a dead, locked trigger without warning. You can’t fix it without taking the gun apart.
In general, I would avoid Sig.
A light is important. Light can do a lot of things for you. It also makes a great standoff device.
The optic is faster and easier to shoot. Instead of trying to align a front sight, a rear sight, and a target and trying to focus on your front sight instead of the threat, which is unrealistic by human nature, you can have a target-based focus with the dot being out of focus and easier to align.
The real question is if you need to shoot to survive a situation why would you not give yourself as much advantage as possible?

Cops have had tritium sights for years and there has been no correlated change in hit percentage. A situation where you can see your target but not your sights and need to make a precise shot is pretty specific and unlikely.
A light is better than night sights, almost every single time. I still use them because they are nice to have but they are at the bottom of the list of helpful defensive things to add to a gun.
