New motor to be used for classified weaponry

China has produced a new type of electric motor that would meet the heavy demand from China's latest electromagnetic weapon system, which may involve electromagnetic railgun and ballistic missile technologies, said an expert.

Academy of Aerospace Solid Propulsion Technology under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has recently delivered a batch of newly developed brushed DC electric motors to an unnamed unit. The motors will be used in China's latest electromagnetic weapon system and are under heavy demand, reads an article published by the academy on WeChat on June 10.

The new motors can operate in special environments including in high-intensity magnetic fields and are resistant to strong blasts, according to the article.

A staff member in charge of publicity at the academy confirmed the news to the Global Times on Tuesday but refused to provide further information.

Brainlets love to shitpost about it but the tech itself is very much in line with today's technology level. It does some quantum bullshit to "entangle" the photons being emitted from the radar to photons that stay behind and get observed. Entanglement means that once you've observed some parameter of one particle, you know what that parameter will be on the other particle before observing it (things only really have hard properties when they interact with some other things, otherwise it's a fuzzy mess of probability). Quantum physics is weird, but this is all well understood and used in all kinds of scientific experiments.

What this lets the radar do is tell which of the photons it is receiving came from the transmitter originally. This lets you filter out background noise and therefore use a lot less power, making yourself less detectable.

The short answer is that you load up a plane with decoys and jammers and take a shot at anyone broadcasting radarwaves. Since the same qualities of radar waves that make them so useful to detect stuff also make any emitters easy to detect a good SEAD mission can basically shut down the enemy's air defense.

That would do a lot against jammers but very little against radar absorbing materials and you'd still be vulnerable to wild weasel tactics.

SEAD can't against Quantum radars. Home on jam missiles can't home in if they destroyed once they get into quantum range. Also the carrier of the HARM will be within range before it can launch a missile.

There's no such thing as a non-emissive radar.
