Pentagon "lost" more money than Russia has to spend on its military

>Pentagon "lost" more money than Russia has to spend on its military
>Decides to spend even more money on an entirely new military branch as a gimmick

The Manhattan Project cost $22 billion in today's dollars. That's all it took to create a revolutionary scifi weapon.

What weapons are we missing out on today because of corruption?

a space navy

cuckservatives

it's okay to waste tax money if it's on the military.

Interstellar capable fusion powered spaceships with hypervelocity railguns

>not casaba howitzers
that's not a future i want to live in.

>weapons are we missing out
>casaba howitzers

>money to fuel the military industrial complex and everyone that works for it
vs
>money to fuel the liberals socialist(marxists) utopia that totally won't be the rope that finally snuffs out the USA

the space elevators will fix global warming bruh

Making the AFSC its own branch is hardly a "new" military branch. It just moves a pretty big headache from the air force.

This.

It's all just knee jerk retards on both sides.

>Manhattan project cost $22 billion
Think the biggest difference to military projects of that era compared to today is the number of entities involved. In WWII, when Boeing wanted to design a new bomber, they gathered everyone in a room and did it. Now you have congressman lobbying for some company in their state to build one part of a plane that's going to cost millions, then do this over and over until you've spent billions making an aircraft that in a decade people will call outdated cause that's how everyone stays in business.

The Manhattan project was a science experiment done on behalf of the government, there was no contract battles over who's gonna enrich the material, who's building the casings, ext. They just got shit done.

military budgets are just an excuse to blackhole money to fund all sorts of shit

absolutely this. A government-run procurement process is how Russia can develop decent projects while still being a third world budgetlet.

I'm sure you agree that we (The United States) have pissed off a lot of Nations.

It's best not to lose our Military at this point.

Pentagon's run by idiots today.

>spending 100+ billions of dollars on its military
> third world budget

The Space Force is not a new branch, it's been a known project of the Air Force for decades. This is more of a political punishment through reorganization than WarHammer.

luckily for us the DoD is being audited for the first time ever

You ungrateful bastards
Do you expect me to work for less?

Like it or not, the DOD is the largest employer in the US, bar none. Especially becomes more pronounce realizing how many civilians work for the DOD, directly or indirectly.

how about neither?

Fuck off. It's people like you that have ruined the west
